❤️ A LITTLE REMINDER FOR OUR WONDERFUL CONSIGNORS ❤️
Yesterday, during our giveaway, we received a call from a concerned consignor who wondered if her items might have been given away without their permission.
We completely understood her concern—and it actually reminded us that there may be other consignors who have wondered the same thing but simply didn't feel comfortable calling or asking.
Please know—WE WOULD NEVER DO THAT. ❤️
Your merchandise belongs to you, and we take our responsibility as your consignment store very seriously.
I'm not saying that accidents cannot happen, they can and they do especially with items which have been left for over 6 months without pick up.
However, yesterday did bring something important back to our attention that we want to gently remind everyone about:
📅 PLEASE PUT YOUR PICKUP DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR!
When you consign with Second Chances, your contract includes a specific pickup date.
(upper left-hand corner of your yellow carbon copy)
With more than 7,700 consignors, every person has a unique date based on when their items came into the store.
That date is there for a reason.
It gives your items ample time to sell, and when your consignment period ends, it is the consignor's responsibility to remember the pickup date and make arrangements with us, all you have to do is call to get on our pickup list.
📞 All you have to do is call or text us to arrange your pickup. ❤️
Unfortunately, with thousands of consignors, we can no longer personally call everyone when their pickup date arrives.
We have discovered that many phone calls go unanswered, voicemails aren't set up, or inboxes are full—and we simply cannot keep up with individual reminders for 7,700+ consignors.
So please help us help YOU! 😊
✨ When you consign, please put your pickup date on your phone calendar, planner, or wherever you keep important dates.
Your pickup date is an important part of your consignment agreement, just like any other appointment or deadline.
Retail space is limited & our space constraints are REAL!
And one more reassurance because yesterday's call made us realize this needs to be said:
We are NOT giving away merchandise without permission. ❤️
Our giveaways are ALWAYS made up of items that had already reached the appropriate point in the consignment process and are no longer wanted back by their owners or items owned by the store that are being discontinued.
We LOVE our consignors and are so grateful for the trust you place in us.
After 18 years of doing this, we want to continue making consignment as smooth, fair, and successful as possible for everyone.
So please… check your contract, find your pickup date, and put it on your calendar! 📅
Then, when the time comes, simply call or text us and we'll be happy to arrange your pickup. ❤️ 615-756-7513
