I couldn’t decide on a photo for White Sands so I made 4 instead of the usual 2. The largest field of gypsum sand dunes on the planet deserves it. ⏳ I decided to focus the gradient on light and shadows rather than the physical landscape and I love how soft they feel (literally and aesthetically). 🤍

The latest scarves off my loom were inspired by the brilliant sunsets of Saguaro National Park. Have you ever seen a saguaro cactus? And what is it about Arizona sunsets? I think they are definitely the best in the world. 🌅

Next up in my national park series... Great Smokey Mountains! 🍂 This one is near and dear because a big chunk of it is in what I consider my “home state” of NC. I’ve only visited in the fall so my interpretation is based on hiking trails, and the beautiful vistas we always admire from the mountain roads. Both of these (first is cotton/wool, second is cotton/tencel) are available in my Etsy shop. Link in bio. 🍂

These two scarves are the beginnings of a new project I’m going to be slowly working on. Gradient scarves inspired by the scenery of our national parks (and maybe some national monuments and state parks sprinkled in)! Starting with the Redwoods was a given. 🌲 I visited them back in February, pre-pandemic. Seeing the tallest and some of the oldest trees on earth was a wondrous sight to behold and walking through a misty canopy of redwoods is something that can only be experienced in person.  
 
For each park I plan on weaving a set of 2, one with a wool weft for winter and the other with linen or cotton for summer. These 2 will be listed in my Etsy shop on Wednesday.
