We left our little girl to drive back home 4 states away. I’m so thankful that I can leave her with her best friend, but my heart is aching! 😢

Brittany, may the Lord guide your steps as you acknowledge Him in all your ways! By God’s grace you have become a beautiful young woman - despite my failings as your mom! Now forgetting those things which are behind - reach forward to those things which are ahead and press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus! As it says in Narnia (which you would know if you read books 😉) - further up and further in!

It has taken some time for me to put away my anger over the circumstances of my daughters last game, but I am finally able to say that I am thankful that God is able to use even a lost game for good in my daughters life. I am so thankful for the years that I have been given to watch her play her heart out on the basketball court. I am thankful that after a setback with a knee injury she was still able to play her senior year. Soon, I will be hanging up her #21 jersey to dry for the last time and all of this will become a memory, but I thank God for the lessons she learned that will never be finished, but carried with her through life.
