This… this is because of you.
Yes, you. The one reading this. The one who follows my page. My customer. My client. My friend. My supporter.
This picture exists because of your support.🖤
Several years ago, we gave Kreede a discovery flight after he mentioned he thought flying ✈️sounded interesting. We had no idea that one flight would become a calling. He fell completely in love with aviation, and today he holds his private pilot’s license.
If you know anything about becoming a 🧑✈️ pilot, you know it isn’t cheap nor fast! It’s an expensive marathon.
I retired at 37 after selling my floral business. My husband has a wonderful career, and I didn’t have to work. But when our son decided he wanted to become a pilot, we knew we needed another way to help fund the journey.
I wanted something that would allow me to be present for my family, keep our home together, have flexibility, and still contribute financially.
So I started Resurrection.
At first I sold vintage clothing, but I quickly discovered that vintage home décor was where my heart—and my customers—were. What started as a small idea grew into spaces at Magpie Collective, an incredible Facebook community, live shows on Whatnot, and a business that has blessed our family in ways I never imagined.
Kreede was fortunate to receive an Air Force scholarship that sent him to California for a month of flight training. When he returned, though, there were still many hours, certifications, and expenses ahead. College pilot programs are incredibly competitive. Every flight hour, every certification, every grade matters. We were racing toward application deadlines while balancing football, school, and life.
Every vintage piece ✨you purchased helped make another lesson possible.
Yesterday, I got to climb into an airplane with a private pilot… and that pilot was my son.
He flew our family. Some of the passengers were redeeming airplane rides they had received as Christmas gifts. Sitting there, looking out the window, I couldn’t help but think about every early morning, every late night, every sacrifice, every sale, every market, every live show, every piece of vintage décor that found a new home.
It all added up to moments like this.
So when you shop with me, you’re doing so much more than buying something beautiful for your home.
You’re helping a young man chase a dream that God placed on his heart.
You’re helping a family invest in their son.
You’re helping write a story that we will never forget.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I will never be able to say it loudly enough or sincerely enough.
Thank you for believing in Resurrection, and thank you for believing in us. ❤️✈️
