ing said, I look for a wide variety of pieces to bring options to a wider audience (not just my lovely vintage wearers/collectors). I just like a lil somethin' for everybody. Regardless of age, gender, race, body type, or occupation. On top of all of that, I also strive for accuracy and disclosure on all garments! BUT, if I do slip up and miss something, I do hope we all can realize that mistakes are a very human thing. Despite what some of my family members would say, I am indeed human. πŸ‘½πŸ––

Looking for a unique and rare piece of history? The embroidery featured earlier today is from a 1920s cotton embroidered maternity hospital gown! Something I have never seen before. It is one of those items in history that would have most likely been thrown away or discarded at some point. ⁣
Funny story- when I was laundering it, I hadn't really investigated what type of thing it was. I thought maybe a bedspread or sheet, but it was SO filthy I just wanted to get it clean...😬😬 luckily, I always wear gloves πŸ˜‚β£
Anyways, it cleaned up very well and only has some discoloration left over. I know it may be strange to some to wear a presumably used maternity gown... but... I kind of find it fascinating that it still exists?? ⁣
Also- it is really beautiful! The classic color scheme of jadeite against the bubblegum pink is so endearing. Not to mention the darling scallop detail sleeve! ⁣
This piece is perfect for collectors and history enthusiasts alike. Not to mention the vintage loving mamas-to-be out there! ⁣

Last Friday I had the pleasure of seeing the breathtaking Isabelle De Borchgrave exhibit at the Wichita Art Museum ( Wichita Art Museum ) and I'm in awe! From intricate details to bold colors, her historic clothing recreations using paper are true masterpieces. studied this artist in high school and even wrote my IB comparative essay on one of her pieces! It has always been a dream of mine to see her pieces in person Witnessing the craftsmanship up close was a true treat. If you're a fan of art and fashion, this exhibit is a must-see! (PS.- it's free! Let me tell ya, I took a whopper of a break from social media and really a lot of other things for about a year... If you follow along on my personal page ( ) you may know why. ⁣

Some during the time I was moving and organizing all of the pieces I acquired this summer! πŸͺ„ Swipe to the end to see the absolutely INSANE windstorm that happened in December while I was working in candle light πŸ•―οΈ at my parents place 😱 It left them without power for 3 days. It felt like the as I was sorting through bias cut dresses & reading 1930s Ladies Home Magazines πŸ“–β˜• ⁣
