Sometimes I stitch something just because it catches my eye even if I don't have a plan for it yet. This is one of those designs. It took forever to stitch (63,000 stitches) but I love it. After looking at it for a while today, I'm thinking this owl will be part of a purse. Now to rummage through my zillion pounds of fabric for the right pieces to go with it...

First time embroidering on real leather. I've got some gold accents to add on the front but am taking a break. You have to set the machine at a super slow speed and stay close because even then it pops threads often.

Sometimes happy accidents occur in embroidery. This is one of those times. I planned on appliquing this monstera leaf on a tote bag but I misjudged what hoop to use, so instead I decided to put it on a pillow. Boy, it almost looks like I know what I'm doing lol because this turned out so well! The leaf belongs on this fabric. Love it when happy accidents happen!

Working on finishing wallhangings today. It's a four step process - hoop, cut away extra from the outside, glue excess down and then finish the back with felt. One good thing about this process is being able to catch up on the Depp v Heard trial! 🤣 Usually I can't watch TV because my machine is too loud when it's running. Just ten more wallhangings to go! 😅

Working on finishing and gathering my inventory to take to Grow by the end of the week. The stuff on the end closest to me is pillows and wallhangings to finish up. Everything on the other end (totes, towels and plant buckets plus a few wallhangings) are complete. Rick said he hasn't seen me this "perky" in a long time. It's because I'm doing what I love and I'm feeling quite productive. Once I get everything finished, I'll take individual pictures of everything to put together in a photo album since I usually only make one or two of an item. Of course, I'm always open to custom orders if you see a design you like.
