✨The Shiny Shoes Project✨
I saw this child one day with his feet stuffed into his shoes. They were worn down and had no structure or padding. I got permission from mom to buy him new shoes. She said those shoes were a 5 and he probably needed a size 6 wide. By looking at his feet stuffed in those shoes, he does look like a wide footed kid. I told her I would measure and let her know! When I measured I couldn’t believe it…He was a size 8!!!! 😳😮. I probably could have ordered him 8.5 to be honest.
He wanted solid black shoes but I decided to throw these cool gold and black ones in for him to try along with the ones he picked. I also got him shoe deodorizers, new socks and some shower gel to keep those feet smelling good! Hormonal boys just struggle sometimes.
I can’t put into words how EXCITED this young man was when he saw those black and gold shoes. He wanted to try them on FIRST and that was it. No reason to try on any others although I did make him try on a wide but it wasn’t needed. He just needed room for those big feet to stretch out! He was amazed at the cushion and just smiled so huge.
His smile and face SHINED with confidence and he couldn’t believe how much room his feet had! I should have maybe bought a half size up to last through the summer, but I know they fit perfect for now.
