We're organization that strives to provide food & clothing for those in need in & around Wickenburg

You can help support us and our mission by donating now at Projectsaltwickenburg.com If you’re hungry, need clothing … you qualify. Simple as that. How often can I visit? You may ‘SHOP’ Project SALT TWICE a month for ONE prepacked food box and ONE bag of clothing per visit. The size of the clothing bag and food box are determined by the Project SALT volunteers. You may VISIT every day for fellowship, prayer, cold water, sack lunches or to get out of the elements. What do we do? We are an outreach ministry seperate from any church spreading the love of Jesus to Wickenburg and the surrounding area. We offer a community food bank, community clothing closet, and small housewares room. PLEASE NOTE THIS SERVICE CHANGE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
We are unable to provide assistance with DES (food stamps or AHCCCS), state identification or birth certificates going forward. I would encourage you all to contact DES and let them know a DES employee needs to resume visiting Wickenburg regularly like they did pre-covid. Unfortunately, Project SALT cannot fill this void. Help with ID and birth certificates can be found in the valley through a wonderful nonprofit called the Homeless ID Project. Volunteers at Project SALT can provide info for this organization. Is there a fee? All goods and services offered through Project SALT are FREE. Donations:
Please visit the Donation page of the Project SALT website for a list of donations we can accept. Please do not leave donations outside at the Project SALT office or at The Place Church. We accept donations of nonperishable foods, gently used clothing, and acceptable housewares at the Project SALT office during business hours. Feel free to drop off donations at The Place Church during their regular business hours. Items of nonperishable food donations may be left in the collection area in the sanctuary. Thank you!

❤️🌵 Project SALT | SEPTEMBER 2026 RECAP 🌵❤️

Real People. Real Needs. Real Love. ❤️

Hey, Wickenburg! 🙌 It's time for our September recap, and we just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU!

Because of the generosity, compassion, and support of this community, Project SALT (Serving And Loving Together) continues to show up for our neighbors who need a little extra help.

Here's what September looked like:

🥫 206 Food Boxes distributed to help put food on the table.

🥪 141 Sack Lunches provided to help feed our neighbors.

👕 441 Clothing Visits helping individuals and families find what they need.

🏡 269 Households served through our outreach and programs.

Behind every number is a real person, a family, and a story. These aren't just statistics — they're our neighbors, friends, and fellow community members.

And this is what happens when a community chooses kindness over indifference and action over words. ❤️

To every volunteer, donor, business, organization, and friend who has helped make this possible: THANK YOU for being part of the SALT family! You are helping us do more than provide food and clothing. You're reminding people that they matter, that they're not forgotten, and that their community cares.

We're proud to serve Wickenburg and the surrounding communities, and we're grateful for every opportunity to love our neighbors in a practical way.

Want to be part of what we're doing? Whether it's volunteering, donating food or clothing, or supporting one of our programs, there's a place for you here!

🎃👻 WICKENBURG, LET’S SHARE A LITTLE HALLOWEEN MAGIC! 👻🎃

Hey friends! ❤️🌈

As Halloween gets closer, we know that buying costumes can be one more expense for families already doing their best to make ends meet. Every kid deserves a chance to dress up, have fun, and feel like a superhero, princess, dinosaur, ghost, or whatever their imagination dreams up! 🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️🦖

So, on behalf of Project SALT (Serving And Loving Together), we have a little favor to ask our amazing community!

🎃 GOT OLD HALLOWEEN COSTUMES?

Maybe your kids have outgrown last year's costumes. Maybe you've got a few tucked away in a closet or storage bin. Instead of letting them collect dust, consider donating them to Project SALT!

🧡 HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP:
👻 Bring us gently used, clean Halloween costumes that are ready for another adventure.
🎃 Have accessories, masks, hats, or other costume pieces? Those can help, too!
🧡 Have a costume your family no longer needs but know someone who could use one? Let's make a connection!
🌈 And if your family is looking for a Halloween costume, come check with Project SALT and see what's available!

The idea is simple: a costume that's no longer needed in one home could bring a whole lot of joy to a child in another. And if we can make that happen without a family having to spend extra money, that's a win for everybody! ❤️

📍 Project SALT
73 S. Tegner Street, Wickenburg

Let's turn those forgotten costumes into somebody else's Halloween magic! No judgment, no shame, just neighbors helping neighbors and a community looking out for one another.

Because around here, we believe kind is cool, everybody matters, and nobody should have to miss out when a little kindness can make a difference. 🎃❤️🌈

Please share this post so we can help get costumes into the hands of families who need them!

Serving And Loving Together. That's what SALT is all about! ❤️

A Summer of Giving: Free Swim, Christmas in July & a Whole Lot of Joy

Sometimes a little generosity can turn into something much bigger than anyone imagined.

That was the story of this summer at Project SALT.

Thanks in large part to the incredible support generated through Gilly’s Grateful Day, we were able to turn more than $5,000 raised at our annual celebration of peace, love, music, and community into something that would reach families throughout the summer.

And we didn't want that money to simply sit in an account.

We wanted to turn it into experiences, memories, and moments of joy.

Free Family Swim All Summer Long

Every Wednesday evening throughout the summer, families, kids, and individuals from our community were invited to enjoy free family swim at the Wickenburg Town Pool.

Week after week, people showed up.

Kids got to play.

Families got to spend time together.

People who might not otherwise have been able to afford an evening at the pool got the opportunity to simply come out, cool off, and have fun.

There was no complicated application.

No questions about whether someone "qualified."

Just a pool, a Wednesday evening, and an invitation to come enjoy it.

Because sometimes helping people isn't about handing them something they need.

Sometimes it's about giving them an opportunity to experience something they might otherwise miss.

Christmas in July

Then came one of our favorite celebrations of the summer: Christmas in July!

Hundreds of people joined us for an evening filled with fun, community, and a whole lot of Christmas spirit in the middle of an Arizona summer.

And most importantly, we were able to put more than 200 presents into the hands of local kids.

Watching those gifts make their way to children was a reminder of why we do what we do.

For some families, Christmas can be a stressful time financially. So why wait until December to create a little Christmas magic?

We decided July was a pretty good time to spread some joy.

It All Started With Community

None of this happens by accident.

The free swim nights, Christmas in July, and other opportunities we were able to create throughout the summer were made possible because people came together at Gilly’s Grateful Day and decided that their celebration could also be an opportunity to give back.

More than $5,000 was raised through the event, and those dollars became swimming nights, presents, smiles, memories, and moments of connection throughout our community.

That's what Project SALT is all about.

Serving And Loving Together.

It's about taking what we have and figuring out how we can use it to make somebody else's day a little better.

A donation can become a meal.

A volunteer can become a helping hand.

A community event can become a summer of free swimming.

And $5,000 can become hundreds of kids opening presents and countless families enjoying an evening together.

That's the beautiful part.

And We're Doing It Again!

If you missed Gilly's Grateful Day this year, don't worry—we're already looking forward to the next one.

Gilly's Grateful Day returns Saturday, January 30, 2027!

We'll once again bring together music, fun, friendship, and community with one big goal: celebrate life and use that celebration to help others.

We don't know exactly what next year's event will make possible yet.

But that's the fun part.

Because when a community comes together with grateful hearts, there's no telling how far that kindness can travel.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, attended Gilly's Grateful Day, helped with free swim, donated presents, shared our posts, or simply showed up and participated.

You helped make this summer a little brighter.

And we're just getting started.

More Than a Brand: Finding Your Why

Recently, I ( Gilly) had the opportunity to spend some time with the students in the Jobs for Arizona Graduates (JAG) class at Wickenburg High School.

We talked about something that goes far beyond choosing a career or starting a business: how you choose to show up in the world.

One of the things we discussed was personal branding. Your name, your reputation, your work ethic, the way you treat people, and the things you stand for all become part of your brand. A brand isn't just a logo, a business card, or a social media page. It's the story people remember about you.

From there, we talked about Project SALT — Serving And Loving Together.

I shared how SALT began with a simple vision of helping people and has grown into a community organization serving people through food, clothing, lunches, and opportunities to simply be seen and valued.

But one of the biggest things I wanted these students to understand was the why behind the what.

At Project SALT, we don't just see a food box.

We see the person picking it up.

We don't just see a clothing visit.

We see a family that may be going through a difficult season.

We don't just see numbers on a monthly report.

We see people.

Some of the people we serve are easy to overlook. Maybe they're struggling financially. Maybe they're going through a transition. Maybe they've simply had a rough stretch of life.

Whatever brought them through our doors, we want them to know something:

You matter.

We talked about having visions and goals for our lives, but also remembering that success isn't only about what we accomplish for ourselves. Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can accomplish is what we do for somebody else.

And, of course, because this is me we're talking about, we couldn't spend an afternoon together without doing some tie-dye!

We got creative, got a little messy, and had some fun while talking about individuality, creativity, and finding your own way.

That's really what I hope the students took away from our time together.

You don't have to fit into somebody else's mold.

Build your own path.

Find something you're passionate about.

Set some goals.

Work hard.

Be willing to learn.

And when you have an opportunity to help somebody else along the way, do it.

Your future isn't just about the job you eventually have. It's about the person you decide to become.

Thank you to the JAG program and Wickenburg High School for giving me the opportunity to hang out with these young people and share a little bit of my story.

I hope they left with a little more confidence in their own possibilities—and maybe a little more color on their shirts too.

If you'd like to learn more about Project SALT, our programs, or how you can get involved, visit projectsaltwickenburg.org.

Be kind. See the people others overlook. Find your why. And don't be afraid to add a little color to the world.
