Every now and then, a unique piece comes through our doors that instantly reminds us of an iconic TV or movie moment. Today’s find had us thinking of Carol Burnett’s legendary “Went with the Wind” parody… and, well… we just had to recreate it! 😂

What keeps someone coming back to volunteer week after week?

We asked Cheryl and Janet, a few of our amazing Restoring Hope Clothing Boutique volunteers, and their answers said it all.

They talked about the friendships they’ve built, the fun they have every day, the sense of purpose they feel, and the welcoming, family-like atmosphere that makes this place so special. They also shared how much they appreciate the leadership and heart of our founder, David Booth, whose passion for serving veterans inspires so many to get involved.

Every rack that’s stocked, every display that’s arranged, and every customer who’s greeted with a smile helps support the mission of Combat Veterans to Careers and the veterans we proudly serve.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

This July 4th, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone—250 years of freedom, courage, and the enduring American spirit.
As we gather with family and friends this Independence Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have defended our nation throughout its history. Because of their courage and sacrifice, we continue to enjoy the freedoms that make America so special.
At Combat Veterans to Careers, we have the privilege of serving those who served us. Every day, we witness the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of our veterans, and thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we’re able to help them build brighter futures through employment assistance, housing support, education, financial guidance, wellness programs, and su***de prevention initiatives.
Freedom has never been free. It has always been earned by those willing to answer the call to serve.
As America celebrates 250 years of independence, let us renew our commitment to honoring our veterans—not just today, but every day.
From our Combat Veterans to Careers family to yours, thank you for believing in our mission and for standing beside those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
