Thursday’s early morning run in Prospect Park signaled the official changing of the gear. Running with my thumb tips tucked into my clenched fingers, I really wanted the red gloves I spotted on a pass by. She was prepared, and her hands were warm. So, the Merino is out — gloves, tee, and headband, ready for Saturday’s run along the piers in Dumbo.
