Attention Patients & Providers 📣

To help ensure insurance billing for compression garments goes smoothly, we kindly ask that all required documentation be submitted before orders are processed.

Requirements include:
• A current prescription/order from your provider with diagnosis code
• Physician’s notes from within the past year

Your PT will sometimes assist in acquiring the prescription from your doctor. You are also allowed to request the prescription from your doctor. We cannot request the initial prescription from your doctor.

Once we receive the prescription, we will either schedule you to come in for measurements or use measurements from your PT to place the order.

We still request a standard written order from the referring physician which has specific codes that we will be billing your insurance for.

Lymphedema diagnoses are the only diagnoses that are billable to commercial and Medicare insurance plans. Medicaid covers a wider variety of diagnoses.

If your physician’s notes do not include the lymphedema diagnosis, we cannot bill your insurance and you will need to pay for the garments in order to receive them.

Medicare Compression Guidelines- basically, with a lymphedema diagnosis, you are allowed 3 compression garments per affected area every 6 months, and 2 nighttime garments every 2 years. For example, if you need a compression sleeve and compression glove, you area allowed 3 of each per 6 months!

We measure and fit off the shelf and custom garments! Give us a call to schedule 910-332-0179. We will need a prescription from your doctor, which can be faxed to 910-332-0671!
