We’re heartbroken to share that after 10 years in business, Julia and I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Dance Happy. This decision has not been made lightly, but we know it’s the right one at this time. We have shown up every single day, rarely with taking a break, and always giving 110% of ourselves to something that we have loved doing so very much but this has come at a great personal cost and it’s now time for us to focus on ourselves and our health. We’re currently winding down operations and remaining stock is available for up to 80% off on our website (prices as marked), while supplies last.

During times like these, it can be hard to see beyond the pain and disappointment of closing, so we wanted to take a moment to highlight just some of the amazing accomplishments we’ve had, and trails we’ve blazed, over the past 10 years in business:
*Featured in Oprah Daily’s O List and the first Down syndrome co-founded brand to receive this feature
*Became the first Down syndrome co-founded brand to be carried by Nordstrom in stores across the US, Canada, and online. This turned into a multi-year partnership.
*Selected as a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow
*Named “Editor’s Pick” by the Oprah Daily team at NY NOW’s Summer Market in 2024, the first Down syndrome co-founded brand ever to receive this honor
*Featured on QVC and HSN
*Sold our products to over 100 independent, boutique, and specialty retailers across the US (and 1 in Switzerland!)
*Spoken about on US House of Representatives floor by Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon about our inclusive employment model
*Sold out our series of tote bags with Aerie (our first major retailer deal) in under two weeks in 2019
We are so eternally grateful to everyone we have met along the way and for everyone who has supported us over the years. We couldn’t have done any of this—especially for 10 years!—without all of you.
