Tonight is the night!! If I was to tell you I'm a nervous wreck would you believe me? I haven't really gone live in a while and I'm nervous to get back into it, that and I'm terrified to try something new and outside my comfort zone. Can I pronounce the names of these gemstones and jewlery cuts... NO! Do I know much about jewlery... NOPE! But this is something low key, fun and exciting I can do while baby grows. So I'm going to give it a go.

We also have our 12 week ultrasound and bloodwork today, so its an extra BIG day. Even if you're not interested in buying I hope you will join me tonight, say Hi! Stop by and chit chat with the other ladies too. It will mean the world to see some familiar faces (or new ones too!)

I will do my best to stream it to facebook but I won't see the comments or be able to interact but you can watch and see what its about!

✨ Okay, Quirky family—the secret is officially out! ✨

I’m so excited to introduce you to something completely new: Bomb Party jewelry and our very own Secret Sparkle Society!

If you’ve never heard of Bomb Party, don’t worry. Neither had I a few weeks ago—and now I’m completely addicted.

Bomb Party is surprise jewelry revealed LIVE. You choose the collection and jewelry type you want—rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more. For rings, you also choose your size. The exact design, stones and metal finish remain a mystery until we open it together!

Ring bombs are dropped into water and fizzed open, while necklaces, earrings and other pieces are unwrapped live on camera. Every package holds a different surprise, and there are even rare “unicorn” designs and opportunities to reveal a hidden diamond!

Basically, it’s like opening surprise packages—but filled with sparkles for grown-ups. And honestly, the anticipation is half the fun.

I love that this allows us to get back to what I enjoy most: going live, laughing, chatting and creating a fun experience together. I can do it from home while sitting, resting and taking care of myself and Baby Carter—and you can join the party from the comfort of your home, too.

Our official Bomb Party kickoff is happening:

💎 Wednesday night
💎 8 PM EST
💎 Live on Whatnot at

Even if you’re not ready to purchase, I would love for you to stop by, say hello and see how everything works. Your support during this new adventure means more than you know!

Bookmark the show here so Whatnot will remind you when we go live:

So, which sparkle is waiting for you?

Come join our Secret Sparkle Society and help me kick off this exciting new chapter Wednesday night! 🔐✨

So…what’s next for The Quirky Closet?

After sharing all the emotions, uncertainty and self-doubt behind the last year, I’m excited to finally share what I’ve been working toward—and what this next chapter is going to look like.

First, I’ll be spending August revamping our website and bringing online shopping back to The Quirky Closet. You’ll be able to shop fresh boutique finds from the brands you already know and love, including Judy Blue, Haptics and more.

I want the online store to feel like Quirky again—not just a random collection of whatever everyone else is selling. I want to bring back the pieces that help you show your shape, try something different and feel confident when you walk out the door.

Second, style and confidence content will be returning to our Confidence Rises Facebook group!

Have something in your closet that you don’t know how to wear? Need help styling a new trend? Wondering what shoes go with an outfit or how to make a certain silhouette work for your body?

Tell me what you need help with! Coming up with the questions is often the hardest part. If you give me the questions, I can create the answers, outfit ideas and style content you actually want to see.

And now for the biggest—and probably most unexpected—part of this next chapter…

I signed up to become a Bomb Party jewelry consultant, and I’ll begin hosting live jewelry reveals on Whatnot next week!

If you’ve never heard of Bomb Party, don’t worry. Neither had I two weeks ago.

Then I watched several friends and other consultants reveal it live, and I became completely addicted. Each package contains a hidden jewelry surprise that is opened or fizzed live on camera. Think surprise packages—but filled with sparkles for grown-ups.

You choose your collection, jewelry type and ring size when applicable, but the exact design stays a mystery until we reveal it together. There are different stones, styles and metal finishes—and even opportunities to uncover rare designs or a hidden diamond!

I know this is completely different from anything I’ve done before, but honestly, that’s part of what makes it so exciting.

I can host from the comfort of my home. I can sit down, rest and take care of myself and Baby Carter while still getting to be on camera, chit-chat, laugh, socialize and create those fun live-show moments I’ve missed so much.

It feels like something I can genuinely enjoy without carrying the same physical and mental load as managing an entire store, vendor booth or overflowing inventory operation. Right now, fun, connection and less stress are exactly what I need.

There will be plenty more information coming soon about how Bomb Party works, what you can reveal and how to shop. For now, my official launch party is scheduled for:

✨ Wednesday, August 12 at 8 PM
✨ Live on Whatnot at

This date depends on everything shipping and arriving on time, so there is a chance the party may need to be pushed back. Bookmarking the show is the best way to know exactly when we go live:

So, there it is. The secret is officially out.

The Quirky Closet isn’t disappearing. It’s evolving again—with fresh boutique finds, more confidence and style content, and a whole lot of unexpected sparkle.

I hope you’ll keep riding this crazy journey with me and join our new Secret Sparkle Society. I have a feeling this is going to be so much fun. ✨

We are quickly approaching the one-year anniversary of closing our flagship Wi******er store, and that has brought up a lot of emotions. While The Quirky Closet has continued through different ventures, locations and platforms, the truth is that running everything as a one-woman show has allowed some of my greatest strengths to shine—and made some of my weaknesses impossible to ignore.

I’m really good at being on camera. I’m good at helping women challenge the negative self-talk in their heads, try something new and explore styles they never believed they could wear. I can buy beautiful clothing, create displays, tell a story and help someone see herself differently.

Since opening The Quirky Closet six years ago, I’ve had women tell me that I changed their lives in profound ways. Most days, I still can’t fully understand how a clothing store could do that, but I’m incredibly grateful that I was given the opportunity.

But there were reasons I had a staff at the store.

Organization, consistency, inventory management and shipping are not where I naturally shine. I could create the vision and inspire the clients, but my staff brought talents that made the entire business work. Now, I’m trying to do all of it alone. Without a store that has to open at a certain time and people beside me who are counting on me, it has been harder than I want to admit to maintain that same structure.

I’m not great at sticking to a schedule. My emotions and self-doubt sometimes get the better of me. I’m also terrible at shipping things on time. I am. I own it, even though I really do try.

Over the last year, my head and heart have been pulled in a dozen different directions. I started selling on Whatnot, changed what I carried because I thought I needed to be more like everyone else, and watched the category eventually circle back to the kinds of products I had stopped selling.

I originally brought boutique clothing to Whatnot at steep sale prices, but it still wasn’t enough for many buyers. I switched to thrifted clothing, only to realize how difficult it was to make a sustainable profit. Now, boutique items are becoming popular in the plus-size category again—but many of the brands and styles don’t feel like me.

They don’t reflect the message I spent six years building: You don’t have to hide your body behind big, baggy clothing. You are allowed to show your shape, take up space and be proud of who you are regardless of the number on the tag.

I began questioning my identity as a buyer, a reseller and a business owner. Then came the devastating disaster that was Painted Tree. My once-manageable home became buried under excess inventory, fixtures and pieces of businesses that didn’t work out the way I had hoped.

My brain hasn’t had a chance to catch up with all the spinning and pivoting.

Then, another light came back on. One of our former locations reopened, and we were invited into another local vendor co-op. Both are solid concepts where I genuinely believe Quirky could do well. But they also require inventory management, product tracking and consistent social media marketing—the exact things I’m either not naturally good at or so burned out from doing that some days I struggle to begin.

If you’re still reading, thank you. It means you care, you’re invested or you’re at least curious about where this winding road is going.

And on top of everything else, SURPRISE, I accidentally became pregnant at the wonderful age of 39.

I am considered high-risk and have the lovely medical label of a “geriatric pregnancy.” After more than a decade of loss, I had finally started accepting what my life might look like without children. I had begun building a different dream.

And then—bam.

Another spin. Another pivot. A completely unexpected and incredibly precious new future.

I had to step away from Whatnot during my first trimester. I was sick, exhausted and overwhelmed, but I also needed distance from the stress, drama and mean-girl energy that had started surrounding something I once enjoyed. My doctors told me to reduce my stress, and I took that seriously.

But how do you stop stressing when you still need an income? Whatnot had become an important part of my business and was helping fill the financial gap left by the store and Painted Tree.

I tried sewing. I made bows. I upcycled clothing and pressed custom shirts. Each idea had merit, and some were genuinely fun, but they felt more like hobbies than businesses I could realistically grow into sustainable income. If I’m being completely honest, my self-doubt often whispered that no one would buy what I made anyway, so why keep trying?

The pressure to contribute and provide for my family feels higher than ever with a baby on the way. I’ve applied for jobs I’m qualified for—and some I’m overqualified for—with nothing to show for it. Apparently, building and running your own business for six years doesn’t always translate neatly onto a traditional résumé.

Maybe I’m also just a woman who marches to her own beat, and that doesn’t always fit inside the tidy little boxes employers want checked.

I am now only one class away from completing my master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. I’m incredibly proud of that, but the timing of starting a traditional new job after the semester isn’t exactly ideal when I’m due in February.

So, once again, I find myself asking: Where do I go from here? Where does Quirky go from here?

I never wanted The Quirky Closet to become an online-only business, but for now, that may be what it needs to be. Maybe I need to work on my own self-talk and remind myself that different doesn’t mean failed. Smaller doesn’t mean insignificant. Changing directions doesn’t erase everything we built.

And the people who don’t understand may simply not be the people this next chapter is meant for.

I am incredibly blessed to have clients who have stayed with me through journey after journey and pivot after pivot. You continue showing up, encouraging me and believing in Quirky even when I’m not entirely sure I believe in myself. I’m genuinely shocked and in awe of that kind of loyalty.

I know I keep saying that I don’t know what the future of The Quirky Closet looks like. I've been saying it for a year now, and maybe thats where the self doubt comes from, I feel like I should have that figured out by now. But I also know I’m not ready to let it go. It may not continue in the way I originally imagined, but that doesn’t mean its story is over.

So, I did something new.

I took a chance on something exciting—something I can do from the comfort of my home while sitting, resting and allowing this baby to thoroughly kick my ass. It is completely different from anything I’ve done before, but I think it could bring back the fun, connection and excitement I’ve been missing without carrying all the stress that has weighed me down.

For now, I’m asking you to stay tuned, keep an open mind and ride this crazy journey with me a little longer.

There’s a new surprise on the horizon, and it may be closer than you think.

And if you’ve already been in one of my recent Whatnot shows and think you know the secret—mums the word. 🤫✨

💕 A Little Life Update 💕

If you’ve been with The Quirky Closet for a while, you’ve probably noticed we’ve been a little quieter lately.

Many of you have been shopping with me since 2019. You’ve watched this little boutique grow, celebrated the wins with us, and walked alongside me through some incredibly difficult seasons—including a few of our heartbreaking pregnancy losses.

After years of infertility, seven miscarriages, and eventually making peace with the idea that becoming parents just might not be our story…

Life surprised us.

We’re expecting Baby Carter in February 2027. 🤍

Because of my history, this is considered a high-risk pregnancy, so my doctors have me slowing down, reducing stress, and getting as much rest as possible. The first trimester has definitely been keeping me on my toes, but every day we are so grateful for this little miracle. We are still in the early stage we know but praying and hopeful for a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Thank you for your patience while I’ve taken a step back. Thank you for every prayer, every kind message, every order you’ve placed, and every bit of encouragement you’ve given us over the years.

This community has always been so much more than a boutique. It’s a family.

I can’t wait to be back with you all soon. Until then, Adrian, Baby Carter, and I are taking things one day at a time. 💕
