Our Story
It started out as a hobby that has grown into vintage shows and a home-based showroom. As former high-school sweethearts, after raising our kids and enjoying careers, we’re now having great fun curating, creating, rebuilding and reimaging home decor and shabby-happy, vintage-hip and artsy-fartsy furnishings for your home.
I confess to luring my hubby to the vintage shows with the promise of him playing new golf courses while I manned our booth. So far, we’ve been too busy at shows for him to play. Not such a bad thing, really! And we really do enjoy doing the shows and meeting so many lovely people. My plan for this 2018 fair season is to draft a granddaughter or sister-in-law to accompany us. They get to have fun with me and the hubs gets to play golf. Win win!
We’re also ALMOST done with a new shop/garage for hubs, which frees up space in our front-facing detached garage for the home-based Shabby-Happy showroom that will serve as a place to store and stage our work -- affording us the luxury of designing our fair displays before taking our show on the road. I applied and received a county use permit early in our planning so that we didn’t get tripped up. We plan to hold our own seasonal events, and of course be available by appointment anytime. Watch for us to open early April 2018. YIKES! I’m so EXCITED! Oh happy day! Best to you... Sandy
