As we head into Labor Day weekend, many families will be spending time around pools, lakes, and beaches. 🌊

It’s important to remember autistic children are often naturally drawn to water. The sights, sounds, and sensations can be incredibly regulating.

Water play can be joyful and therapeutic — but safety always comes first. Wishing everyone a safe, fun, and restful holiday weekend 💛

Bowie reminds us every day to slow down and notice the details. He finds beauty and joy in things we often overlook. Just like he does here in nature, he helped us carefully choose the materials for our Bowie Blankies. Each fabric used to make our blankies was Bowie approved.

🐘 Why an Elephant?

When it came time to design the Bowie Blankies logo, we knew it had to mean something. It couldn’t just look cute — it had to tell a piece of Bowie’s story.

One of Bowie’s very first and biggest special interests has always been elephants.
Books, toys, videos, stuffed animals — if it had an elephant on it, he loved it.
We learned more elephant facts than we ever imagined possible, because when Bowie loves something, he is passionate about it. He can sit and watch elephant documentaries for hours.

And honestly? Elephants couldn’t be more fitting.
They’re gentle and strong.
They’re deeply caring and protective of their herd.
They remember. They connect. They feel.

Our logo is more than a design — it’s a little nod to Bowie’s joy, his passion, and the way special interests make the world brighter.

So, every time you see our elephant, you’ll know it’s not just a logo.
It’s his elephant.
And it’s a symbol of the heart behind Bowie Blankies. 💛
