VISUAL INDEX is an independent art gallery celebrating makers from all 50 states.

Founded in 2017 Visual Index is a woman owned independent art gallery located in the downtown arts district of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We carry art from all 50 states while maintaining an emphasis on North Carolina art. We feature contemporary craft and fine art with mediums spanning clay, jewelry, fiber, wood, glass, 2D works, and more.

Now that I’ve scraped my jaw off the ground, I can finally share a really incredible opportunity I was given. As you probably already know, the German Men’s National Team selected Winston-Salem as their official home base and training headquarters for the 2026 FIFA World Cup FIFA World Cup

Yesterday, I had the privilege of leading a two-hour tour of our charming Arts District Winston-Salem for the German media team. Florian Zschiedrich

Along the way, I connected them with local small business owners and longstanding community members, highlighted our public art and creative programming, and shared some of the exciting ideas and ambitions we have for the future.

It was a genuine honor to showcase our Arts District and the people who make it so special. I’m already looking forward to the next chance to brag about our corner of the world. A huge thank you to Visit Winston-Salem for keeping Winston-Salem on the map, and to Wake Forest University for providing this opportunity to the players.
