What you see: a Doki Doki Lace Bunny Hoodie that looks like it hopped straight out of a dream 🐇🎀

What you don’t see: me, 3am, sewing until my eyes blurred, hand stitching the hood shut like my life depended on it. Running on pure caffeine and adrenaline, 32 hours total. Several all nighters, this photo? Taken 24 hours before the fashion show deadline 😅

Every stitch was worth it.

This hoodie is handmade, one of a kind, and will never be made again, because that’s how we roll at The Okashii Shop. We’re a Black women owned small biz blending Japanese street fashion (Gyaru, Yame Kawaii, Decora) with alt vibes (scene, punk, emo) and a sprinkle of whimsical darkness.

Everything we make is DIY, unique, and made with love (and maybe a little sleep deprivation).

So when you wear our pieces, you’re wearing a story and probably some of our tears too lol.

Are we Suffering from Success? 💀
11 years. 😭 That’s over a decade of late nights, glue gun burns, and us obsessing over every single stitch all because YOU showed up for every weird, whimsical, one of a kind piece we’ve ever made.You kept our passion alive when we were just two dreamers with scissors and a sewing machine. We wouldn’t be here without you. 💔

We make 90% of our goods in house (proudly!), and demand is growing faster than our two hands can keep up, which is why you see “sold out” way too often.

We’re at a crossroads. We have day jobs to pay the bills, but Okashii Shop is our heart. We want to do this full time. So we’re thinking: what if we outsource some items to keep them in stock, so we can actually grow and spend our time creating the crazy, one off, handmade pieces you know us for?

Before we make any moves, we need YOUR honest gut reaction.

Flex those crafting muscles, besties! 💪✂️ Busy con season is officially creeping up on us, and you KNOW we’re about to pull all nighters preparing for Anime ink 2026. Time to stretch, hydrate, and stay agile because these sewing machines won't thread themselves lol.

We’re The Okashii Shop, your one stop spot for stationery and fashion that screams Gyaru, Yame Kawaii, Decora, all the alt vibes (yes, we love scene, punk & emo too). Every piece is 100% DIY, handmade, and ONE OF A KIND. We never make the same item twice, so when it's gone, it's gone gone.
