Very fluent! 💜💜
Anyone else?

I think we get so down on ourselves sometimes, as if God doesn’t already know how messy we can get.

Like He’s up there thinking, Goodness, I was not expecting this from her today. 😂

Meanwhile, He knows me.

Oh, He knows I can go from “Lord, I trust You” to mentally rehearsing seventeen different disasters before I’ve finished my coffee. He’s heard the prayers where I’ve been calm and full of faith,and He’s heard the ones where I’ve cried, rambled, complained, got a little cranky and eventually run out of words altogether.

Some prayers have genuinely just been, “Jesus… please.”

And you know what? I’m starting to think we put far more pressure on ourselves to pray properly than God ever did.

He already knows what’s underneath the words. He knows the fear hiding behind the frustration, the grief underneath the anger, and exactly what I mean when all I can manage is a sigh and His name.

Romans 8:26 even tells us that when we don’t know what to pray,the Spirit intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Wordless groans.

Well, for me that’s reassuring.

Turns out God isn’t intimidated by the unfiltered version of me. I don’t have to clean up my thoughts or get them in order before I bring them to Him.

He’s heard it all.

And goodness, He sure is fluent in my wildness. For that, I’m truly grateful.

“I believe you.”

I recently had to provide - in great detail - the events of May 26, 2017 to someone who was familiar with my story but had never heard the specifics. Like everyone before them, the shock and disbelief was evident. Those looks almost always trigger tears and I often add, if I hadn’t experienced it first hand, then I probably would doubt it, too.

And that’s ok. If I have learned anything in the past 9+ years of living this story, it’s that there can be room for the both/and.

•Your story is hard to hear AND I believe you.
•I don’t know how to help you AND I’m not going anywhere.
•This is hard, I want to quit AND I will keep fighting.

The truth is, the details of that day and the months/years after are hard to believe. 10 surgeries, loss of income, constant pain, deep depression, failed business attempts, distant friendships, hospital stays, more no’s than I can count.

And while my story is extremely unique to me - I guarantee no one else has a beginning to their journey quite like mine - the suffering, the trials - that’s all of us, in our own way.

I’m learning in the midst of the pain and heartbreak, to discover the true reason that I am able to “keep going” - because the ultimate sacrifice was made for me - and for you. When Jesus could have quit and saved himself, He kept going.

And for today, I’m choosing to let that be enough.
Even with ALL of the uncertainties of tomorrow.
I’m choosing to KEEP GOING because the author of my story isn’t finished.

And I believe it’s a story worth reading - a story worth believing.

For anyone else who needs to hold tight to this promise today…

The restoration may not come in the time frame we like.
It may come with a lot of loss - jobs, friendships, money, vacations, trust, sleep…oh the sleep…

BUT GOD will restore, in HIS time.
Maybe not this month, or this year.
May not even be on this side of heaven.
BUT GOD will restore.

We’re not a big operation.

We don’t have have a building or even a full room dedicated to creating.

We use what we have - a dining room turned office that my husband works from home in, and a decent sized entry way with fold up tables.

We’re definitely not trying to take over the apparel market - we just want to support our kids dreams and pay down medical bills, while giving mom battling hard things a creative outlet.

We’re a husband and wife team - one who works full time and then some - and one battling a plethora of medical things full time.

We love the Lord, our boys, baseball, and most any other sport.

We’re just doing what we can to help teams, clubs, schools, and anyone else we can, represent what’s important to them and feel great while they do it.

We’re want to show our kids that while life can be hard and unfair at times, it’s important to show up for yourself, each other, and for your people.

It’s more than business.

It’s love.
It’s community.
It’s family.

If life gets hard - and it will - please remember that the God who created the universe loves YOU. Let that be enough to KEEP GOING!
