Carol acquired the store fifteen years ago knowing she wanted to share her passion for the elegant and the unique. Over the years, the shop has evolved into one of the largest collections of vintage jewelry on Long Island. According to one of Carol’s best customers, “If you can’t find it here, you can’t find it anywhere!” The shop has become a favorite among chic women in search of unique pieces at the best prices. “I’m lucky to have wonderful customers,” Carol says. She knows most of her clients by name, because once they find something special, they keep coming back—and sometimes, they bring their dogs with them! Because Somewhere in Time boasts a wide variety of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and tiaras, bridal designers refer their clients to Carol to help select their jewelry. Most acquisitions are done on-site, and Carol is always buying pieces she feels are worthy of the store—distinctive, sophisticated, and well-made—and offers top prices for previously owned jewelry and accessories. With friendly, knowledgeable service and everything from typewriters to chandeliers, Somewhere in Time offers an unforgettable shopping experience.

It's a sad day for my family and, for that matter, all the families that will suffer a similar fate as ours. It didn't matter that Edgar Lopezalverado was charged with 2 DWI's within the last year before he barreled into my beloved mother on July 11th. We will never know if he was drunk that day because his license wasn't run; thus, he wasn't breathalyzed. Instead of putting in the work to figure out a way to subpoena his truck and blood, the Suffolk County DA took out their rubber stamp and reduced the charges to a slap on the wrist…For whatever reason, there wasn't enough value for the DA to stick their neck out and do the right thing, and that's the cold, harsh reality of our justice system…we are all assigned a value. Tim Sini, perhaps this would have played out differently if this was your mother or, god forbid, like so many other families, your child. Edgar, I don't know you, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out you have a drinking problem and need help. If the courts haven't provided you with those resources, please get in touch with me, and I will make sure you receive the proper care.
