These are just a few of the quilts that I have been busy quilting for a QOV presentation happening February 8, 2020. It is a retreat that my brother and sister-in-law are involved in the planning of and actual retreat.

These were started shortly after Christmas with the help of my amazing friends. Lila Dumcum, Karen Ceranowicz, Mary Rossi, and Connie Cocchiarella who pieced a total of 22 quilt tops and Karen C., also quilted the ones she pieced. I have also been busy piecing 7 tops while my APQS Millie is quilting away.

I had promised a picture of the finished quilt that I made for the ACVVC Silent Auction. The photo on the left is the finished quilt hanging at the silent auction. The photo on the right, is a copy of the label on the back of the quilt. The quilt went for $1,000.00. It was purchased by Gene Jarvis (Jersey), one of the men that served with my brother in Vietnam, and I am so lucky to call him my friend/adopted big brother.

It has been awhile since I have posted anything! It has been a crazy summer with lots of family time that we absolutely love.

This wall hanging will be a silent auction item at the 11th Armored Calvary’s Veterans of Vietnam & Cambodia reunion, September 7th in Grand Rapids, MI. They money they make at the silent auction goes to fund scholarships for these veterans grandchildren. My brother is a Vietnam veteran, serving in 1968. He has been home for 49 years, and attended his first reunion in 1989 in Bloomington, MN. Since attending his first reunion he has met his brothers that he served with in Vietnam. They are all amazing men!

This is what has been under my sewing machine needle this week. Embroidery was done by Karen Ceranowicz, she does such a beautiful job. I am working on the outside borders, so I will post another photo when they are attached.

This quilt is “Our Flag Was Still There” by Ike and Donkey Designs. I made changes to the original pattern.
