I was very disturbed when I read about this new “camp uniform” idea and am feeling like it’s unhealthy. Let’s teach our children resilience when they’re young so they know how to deal with being happy with what they have always. Part of chinuch is teaching your children about your family values, giving them confidence and individuality. This does not mean you should feel pressured to spend an endless on their camp wardrobe. Make yourself a mental budget and try to stick to it. Tips for making it work
Only shop at stores that sells clothing your price range,
If you’re gonna shop at non Jewish stores for modest tees, look when their Fall or Spring lines come out and don’t wait for the Summer stock.
Look online for good deals.
