More recently, while designing from my home studio, I have felt a nagging shift in my creative energy, always bringing me back to the Flip Coat.
In 2026, I have decided to really focus my creative efforts on launching the Flip Coat into a more sustainable and intentional practice.
This new business venture means I will be stepping away from designing seasonal collections and instead be dedicating my time and energy into further investing in the production, marketing and sales of what has become my signature design. I hope to cultivate connections with fabulous small shops and boutiques, both locally and internationally – if you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. Of course, if you ever have a special request or would like to add something truly unique to your wardrobe, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to collaborate on individual projects and custom garments. As part of this next chapter, I will also continue teaching and mentoring students at Harper College.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have supported my work over the years. From my early collections at ULTIMO, opening and closing two of my own shops, to more recently showing at Cloth + Home, various pop-ups, gallery events, trunk shows, and many collaborations with other independent designers... it has been a wonderful journey — your loyalty and encouragement have meant everything to me.
To celebrate this transition, I’m having a sale in Evanston:
Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31
Coats, dresses, tops, jackets, and cashmeres will be 50% off – more details coming soon, please save the dates.
With my deepest thanks for your continued support, I wish you all a peaceful, creative, and safe year ahead.
With Love,
Andrea XX
