So the past 3 years I’ve been trying to figure out what I wanted to do to honor two people we lost way too soon. After lots of time, thoughts, ideas from others, just lots of bouncing ideas we have finally came up with our two things.
Our first, Shahan’s Sneaks, will launch February 1st. It will be a shoe drive for school children. We will take donations of new shoes through out the year and in August we will have a shoe drive for children who need new shoes for school!! If we can get our donations to where we can do another one at Christmas or tend to the schools children as needed that’s our goal!
February 1st will be when we start accepting donations. If you feel led or driven to purchase a pair of shoes any size any kind to be given to our school children Prek to 12th grade for NW oklahoma school children, let me know!
My in laws gave so graciously to this town and the ones surrounding it supporting children specifically. Nothing will ever get close to what they did, but caring on something, in honor of them that helps kids… we couldn’t not!
We do have another memorial that we will also be launching but it’s still getting the deeds worked out. I’ll be posting about it soon!!!
