My Grandmother's Porch Wooden yard art, home decor, clothing, apparel celebrating diversity! When I was a little girl, I always wanted sought dolls and characters that looked like me.

At the time, they were very hard to find. As a surprise one Christmas, my parents paid an artist to make a brown Santa and two brown elves (one even had my name on it!) out of wood for our yard. It was the best Christmas ever and made me feel so special! Every year, from the time I was about 8 years old, my parents would proudly display them in our yard. After I left for college, Santa was stolen. My grandmother took the elves and placed them in the yard beside her porch. They stayed there year round! She was so proud of those little brown smiling elves! I would smile every time I went to her house in the middle of the summer and there they were! For years, I talked about how I wanted my children to have elves of their own - just like I had. Last year, my husband and I made some of our own. Within hours, people were ringing our doorbell asking where we got them. That is how My Grandmother's Porch was born. It is our absolute pleasure to make them for you and we hope you enjoy them as much as my grandmother and I did!
