one of my favorite perks of owning the collective is that i get to play by my own rules.

and by that i mean… i get to take care of people the way i want to.

i spent a long time wondering what my purpose was, but i’ve always known that serving others was somewhere at the heart of it. after stepping away from customer service to raise my babies, it was placed back on my heart to create something that gave back to my community.

now i get to do that in the little ways.

open the shop on a closed day because someone drove into town. remember what you love. set something aside because it made me think of you. or package up your pre-order + walk it down the street to your work.

to someone else, it’s just a little bag… to me, this is the good stuff.

the collective was never meant to just be a place to buy clothes. i want you to feel known, taken care of + genuinely appreciated when you shop here.

and i love that i get to decide what that looks like. 🦋

sometimes you don’t get to see the whole plan… you just get the next step.

looking back at the building of The Collective makes me realize how much of this journey required simply trusting. trusting the timing. trusting the process. trusting that the doors opening … and the ones that had to close or just didn’t … were leading somewhere.

what started as an empty space and a vision has become a place filled with people, connection, community, clothes we love + so many little moments i never could’ve planned for.

still building. still dreaming. still praying. still trusting.

and feeling pretty grateful for every part of the process. 🫶🏼🦋🤎✨

the newest face here at the collective, and we’re so excited to have her!!

courtney is loyal, hardworking + genuine. her style? classic, edgy + effortless … which feels pretty perfect around here.

something you might not guess about her: she’s an adventure girl. she hunts, camps, paddle boards, hikes and is happiest getting outside and trying something new.

her current collective favorite? YOU GUESSED IT!! our signature “Yelm” hat :)

but my favorite part of her answers was what she’s most excited about here:: meeting all of you, building relationships and helping create a space where people feel comfortable, confident + genuinely excited to be here.

and that right there is what the collective is all about. 🤎

pouring my heart into this little shop has been one of the most fulfilling things i’ve ever done. but the response, encouragement, friendships, and support i’ve received from this community? that has been the most rewarding part of all.

from the beginning, i never wanted The Collective to just be my store. i wanted to build something that felt like our store … a place for this community to gather, shop, feel welcome, and maybe leave a little happier than when you walked in.

to even be nominated alongside so many incredible local businesses is such an honor.

if you’ve shopped with us, told a friend about us, shared a post, stopped in just to say hi, or simply cheered us on from afar … thank you. you’re the reason we’re here!
