Greek Goddess Artemis, a beautiful potnia theron, is the mistress of nature, goddess to fertility, protector of pregnant women and the deity of childbirth. This limited production sculpture from 1984 signed by its maker - Austin Productions sits 13 inches tall and nearly 9 inches wide. In great vintage condition with little aging, the only wear present are very light surface chips, seen slightly in a pink shade and photographed in detail. As is with all the products in my shop, this art has been loved before and shown in as much detail as possible. Each item is given a light cleaning prior to being packaged and is sold as-is.

Burlwood is a magical wonder. These tumor like growths found on the trunks of trees are strictly created by nature (and bacteria) and have never been successfully replicated or induced by science. Their rarity and unique qualities have experienced poaching and scientific wonder alike. Each burl grows completely different - some shaped like mushrooms, some as round balls and others hidden underground giving them all the qualities for a one of a kind piece of natural art or furniture.

This particular burl canvas is smooth and mushroom shaped, nicknamed the Artist's Conk {scientifically, Ganoderma Applanatum) for it's ideal and unique beauty. Hand painted with bright moody shades, most likely in the 20th century, this Americana Folkart is truly special. The unique shape creates a multifunctional piece, allowing the art to sit up with minimal support as a colorful mantle piece or hung like a traditional painting on the wall. In perfect timing for inauguration day I remembered I had this political comic from 1896 in my *need to list* inventory stash. When this cartoon originally circulated in late 1896, Republican President William McKinley had just been voted in to replace Democratic President, Grover Cleveland. The only other art or cartoons by Crichton I can personally find also focuses on the late 1800s showing a critique of Michael Henry de Young.

Often times when you see old comics or cartoons on board like this it's because of the durability and reusable surface it allowed making it easy to post in public spaces like shop windows or bulletin boards. This of course allowed for a wider reach of the cartoon's message or image, especially for those of political commentary which often needed to reach the masses quickly. Protected in an acid-free plastic sleeve there is age present mostly on the board's darker outer edge. Otherwise in great antique condition and ready to frame. There is the slightest natural curve to the board - expected with age and corrected by framing. This beauty is a personal favorite of mine with its mix of sweet and spiky Lucite paired with equally detailed brass screws. Originally created to sit on a vanity or dresser top, the mirror's oblong but dainty shape is slightly risen by the four 'feet' it sits on. It's behind these feet where a simple string can be added for displaying the mirror on a wall and creating a gorgeous still life of your space.

Outside of minimal surface wear - this beauty is in great vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the mirror or Lucite. The detailed brass hardware has the patina only time can give adding even more depth to its charm. A perfectly unique touch to fill a gallery wall or small hallway - this sweet rarity from 1983 was designed with obvious skill in ceramics. The nearly 4inch rounded vase allows for a fresh bloom or dainty candlestick to mirror back double the beauty. Signed Baff and overall in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks, the back is wired to hang with a protective fabric. These tall, mid-century modern shakers give that classic 70's vibe and would be a staple on your dining table or in your vintage kitchen! With the tapered, hourglass look and the brass rings, they are perfectly retro✌️

The pair each have their own plastic stoppers and don't have evidence of being used, just some aging on the brass as photographed which I think adds to thier beauty. The gold toned 'S' and 'P' are in good shape and very much still visible and as bold as intended. Both have a sticker on the bottom that sources them from Japan. As is with all the products in my shop, this piece has been loved before. Each item is given a light cleaning prior to being packaged and is sold as-is.
