CCB will be closed this week so Dione can rest and resover from her yearly bought of July Pneumonia. We are turning the corner, and those mountains of meds are kicking in! Woot woot!

Just so everyone understands what is happening! I will still be where I’m at in Zumbrota! I will be keeping my office on location to maintain the online store, my social medias, samples, custome apparel options, and a small amount of inventory. This is still open for people to drop in and see me, but I won’t be there everyday with regular store hours. I always say, if the lights are on, the door is open! So if you see tbe open sign on, stop in! For my customers that are not local to Zumbrota, not a whole lot will be changing for you! I’m navigating this like I always do: by the seat of my pants. This transition will not be easy, but I am excited to welcome all of the new things that not relying on foot traffic will bring to the business! Keep your eyes peeled!

Well, I have been trying to figure out how to speak to my customers about the changes coming. I will say, I will be closing down the Retail Space, and focusing solely on website sales, and social media selling. But dont panic! I will still have a presence in Zumbrota, as I love all of my customers, other local businesses, and what I do. I will continue to utilize the office side to sell samples, make custom shirt orders, and carry a very small amount of inventory, and act as a pickup location.

But why, Dione?!
Well, I always pride myself on being honest to a fault. So here goes. This current economy has squashed small businesses. That’s it. Tariffs, taxes, small business loans… the current financial climate rewards large corporations with tax breaks, discounts, and kickbacks. Wholesale boutique prices have soared to over what I was charging for my products. You won’t be considered for a small business loans unless you make at least $25,000 a month Bitch, if I had that kind of money, I wouldn’t be trying to get a small business loan! I have suffered the slings and arrows, trying not to pass along my expenses to my customers. Holding onto a business I love, but is literally COSTING me to keep my doors open. Overhead for small business retail has become a giant monster in this financial setting. People are scared. Prices have soared for groceries, utilities, cars, and gasoline to name a few. A trip to McDonald’s for three costs my family $30. People won’t spend money on small business locally, but have been grinding their teeth in anticipation of Prime Day. The system is broken. I am broken. After starting with one rack 7 years ago, I have decided that maybe it’s time to go back to the beginning. I will be doing pop ups, ghost boutiques and using the office side as my headquarters. There has got to be a better way. I love you all.

I am fighting a bout of pneumonia, but will start transitioning this week. I am so sad, but optimistic for the future! If something isn’t working, you pivot. Or you don’t survive. Stay tuned for updates!

Dione is on vacation, B*tches! Drink more beer 🍺, eat more burgers 🍔, and roast more glizzies 🌭 ! Remember your sunscreen, avoid talking politics with Uncle Tom, and attempt graceful maneuvering on all floaties and inflatables. Remember, this is a day to celebrate our country, our independence, and our friends and family.

As the great Chayce Beckham says:

Take a day off when you need the rest,
loosen up the drag on a two pound test,
drink a cold beer when the weather's right,
but you don't got to tell me twice.
To spend your time off with the ones you love,
and sending up prayers to the man above
say you know how it goes
after every low comes a high!
