Cùng Hốt tri ân bạn Thanh Mai (nhà tài trợ kim cương) nhé 🥰
💥 Đừng quên like, share
Dear Thanh Mai!
Missing you tons, I hope this letter finds you soon! How's it going over there in America? As I sit down to write this letter, I'm filled with excitement to share the story about Đông Hồ paintings colorful festivals, and warm hospitality, just like you wished for your birthday. Plus, there's a belated birthday surprise waiting for you (wink wink)!
At the heart of Vietnamese culture lies a deep reverence for our heritage, which is beautifully encapsulated in the art of Đông Hồ painting. This traditional folk art form, originating from the Đông Hồ village in the northern province of Bắc Ninh, holds a special place in the hearts of the Vietnamese people.
D**g Ho is a painting product created during a time when people's lives were still difficult. Lack of food, clothing, and lack of freedom in life. The paintings of the lake express the people's desires and wish for a prosperous and happy life. Each stroke of the brush tells a story, preserving the essence of Vietnamese culture for generations to come.
Typically created on handmade rice paper using natural colors derived from plants and minerals, these paintings depict scenes from daily life, folklore, and historical events. Hidden behind the playful, witty drawings are profound and profound life principles and lessons about being human.
Attached to this letter is the gift I sent to you, which is an illustration of a classic magazine design of a D**g Ho painting called "Mouse Wedding", an interesting name, isn't it? The most famous painting that almost everyone knows. The set of paintings tells the story of a mouse wedding, but a cat fee must be paid to be approved. Besides that humorous image, it also reflects the reality of weak-willed workers who always have to bend over and receive pressure from harsh regimes. But deep within that restriction was the joy of a happy life and the optimism of people at that time. I hope this gift will help spark your curiosity to learn more about the wonders of Vietnam.
Beyond its artistic treasures, Vietnam is a land of diverse landscapes and attractive cuisine. From the lush green rice paddies of the Mekong Delta to the ancient charm of Hội An or you're indulged in a steaming bowl of phở, relishing the refreshing sweetness of chè, every corner of the country, each bite has its unique charm waiting to be discovered.
But perhaps what truly sets Vietnam apart is the warmth and generosity of its people. Hospitality is deeply ingrained in our culture. Whether you're sharing a meal with a local family or exploring a bustling market, you'll find yourself enveloped in the warmth of Vietnamese hospitality.
In closing, If you ever get the chance to visit, you know you have a place to crash, that my home, here always welcomes you (I will be your tour guide, of course)!. May the spirit of Đông Hồ painting inspire you.
Lots of love,
Mango
