✌️ Jazz Tap: Characteristics of jazz such as leaps and turns are added to the tap dancing to create a more visually appealing performance for the audience.

🌺 THE ORIGIN OF DANCESPORT

The first unofficial DanceSport World Championship took place in 1909, and the first Formation Team was presented in 1932 by Olive Ripman at the Astoria Ballroom in London.
DanceSport was first broadcast on TV in 1960.
During the 20th century, many new dances were introduced to the ballroom. The Tango was derived from two dances, a solo dance from Spain and an Argentinean courtship dance that was originally considered taboo among polite society in Argentina.
Ballroom dancing has recently increased in popularity due to the presence of competitive dancing on television screens around the world.

SUITABLE FABRICS FOR A LATIN DRESS

Choosing a good fabric for your latin dress can be difficult and confusing. Some materials below are used for ballroom gowns, tail suits and Latin dresses for competitive Dancesport.

⭐Lycra or Supplex Fabric
Lycra or Supplex fabric stretches in all directions, rather dense tissue. This fabric retains its color in the wash and it does not need ironing. Lycra can be done as a separate bodysuit for the dress or the costume as a whole.

⭐Viscose Fabric
Viscose Fabric is a thinner material than Lycra or supplex. It also moves well and is more of a natural fabric than Lycra. As a rule, viscose is used for gowns and Latin shirts as well.

⭐Silk & Satin Fabric
Satin and Silk Fabrics are used for a fluorescent effect. It is commonly used for Ballroom gowns for International Standard and American Smooth. This fabric reflects beautifully under competition lighting and is inexpensive as well.
