Established in 2011, Bao Lan Tex Co., Ltd is Vietnam's first sustainability-driven textile company and W.ELL Fabric is Bao Lan's fabric division. We believe that a good fabric should be beneficial to users beyond the typical value: good quality, beautiful, sustainable and cost efficient. We work closely with universities, institutes and independent researchers to develop new materials or technologies to make eco fabric more desirable and affordable. W.ELL Fabric offers a wide range of fabrics made from either biodegradable or recycled materials such as Organic cotton, Bamboo, Tencel, Recycled poly, Recycled cotton, Recycled coffee... which are widely used for garments, fashion accessories, gifts home decorations. During a recent business trip in Central Vietnam, the Bao Lan team had a truly special, unscripted encounter. We stumbled upon Xưởng Tái Sinh (Rebirth Studio) in Hoi An, the creative sanctuary of artist Nguyen Quoc Dan.

Stepping through doors made of corrugated iron and scrap wood, our team was blown away by his giant Non-Cubism installations. Known locally as the "Trash Artist," Dan takes discarded ropes, plastics, and industrial waste and shapes them into profound, humanistic works of art.

Over a quiet cup of tea, we discovered a beautiful parallel between his work and ours. Just as Dan upcycles discarded materials into art, our shared mission at W.ELL Fabric and Greenyarn is to optimize natural resources. By transforming materials like pineapple leaf fibers and recycled cotton into premium, safe textiles, we strive to give nature's by-products a valuable second life.

A huge thank you to artist Nguyen Quoc Dan for the warm welcome and the immense inspiration.
