Yes, we can, unfortunately, it's notoriously expensive, however, the prices of actual items are far more reasonable here so it might work out ok. Get in touch if you fall in love with something and we will check out the pricing for you! What does pre-loved/pre-owned mean? It means it used to belong to someone else. What does vintage mean? It means the item is at least 20 years old. What does antiq
ue mean? More than 100 years old. What does condition mean? This is the state of the item, we will grade it. As our focus is on quality items we rarely purchase anything in poor condition. Sometimes we do purchase things that need minor repairs that we are able to mend ourselves and sometimes we purchase things that have superficial damage (stains etc.) as they can be passed over to to be re-dyed and upcycled. What does 'quality item' mean? It means you are unlikely to see many fast fashion brands in our repertoire, we may have the occasional vintage/collaboration/special piece. You will also see denim because let's face it 2nd hand denim is always better and denim is so labour and resource-intensive we need to get as much use out of it as we possibly can. Why should you buy it from us? No really, DON'T buy it unless you need it. Every time I decide I want to keep something we have rescued I make myself donate or sell a minimum of 2 items in its place. (But if you do decide to buy it from us here is what you should know)
Everything we buy is thoroughly inspected before we even consider making the purchase. We want items that you can sell or pass on, that can continue living. We wash and/or steam with organic, vegan, antibacterial cleaners (depending on the product some items have to be taken to our local cleaners for dry cleaning)
We grade and verify each item by material, quality and brand. We are vegan, but we do stock some leather, wool and silk items because we would rather they were available for people to buy secondhand than new. We have more than 20 years experience of working in the footwear and fashion industry and an abundance of otherwise useless knowledge ;-)
