EPISODE 6: THE WILD CARD

LUCIAN POV

I took a slow drag from my cigarette, watching the absolute terror and confusion in Juliet’s eyes.
Beautiful.
No wonder my brother locked her up like a prize trophy.
Christian always had a taste for expensive things.
Especially things that belonged to his enemies.
I tapped the ash off my cigarette and pointed to the key in my hand, then to the lock of the balcony door.
She hesitated for a split second.
Then, she stepped forward and unlocked it.
The cold night wind rushed into the room, blowing her dark hair across her face.
“You’re insane,” she whispered sharply, looking past me as if expecting my brother's guards to tackle me.
“How did you get up here?”
I stepped inside her room, closing the glass door behind me with a soft click.
“My brother owns the building, sweetheart,” I chuckled, pocketing my lighter.
“But I own the blueprints.”
She backed away from me, her eyes narrowing into slits.
Defiant. Even when trapped.
I liked that.
“What do you want, Lucian?” she asked coldly.
“To help you,” I replied smoothly, tossing the silver key onto the bed.
She glanced at it, then back to me. “What is that?”
“The key to the service elevator. It bypasses Christian’s security system.”
Silence.
Heavy.
Suspicious.
“Why would you betray your own brother?” she questioned, her voice filled with doubt.
I walked closer to her, stopping just inches away.
I could smell her perfume. Vanilla and expensive terror.
I reached out, my fingers hovering just an inch away from her diamond collar.
“Because Christian thinks he’s the only one who can play this game,” I whispered dangerously.
“And honestly?”
I smiled, a dark, playful glint in my eyes.
“I’m tired of letting him win.”
Suddenly—
The bedroom door handle began to jiggle from the outside.
Christian was coming back.
Juliet’s breath hitched.
I winked at her, stepping back toward the balcony shadows.
“Time to make your choice, Juliet,” I murmured quietly.
“Stay and face the monster…”
Pause.
“…or run with me.”

EPISODE 5: INSIDE THE CAGE
JULIET POV
Clack.
The sound of the heavy lock turning from the outside felt like a nail being driven into my coffin.
I was alone.
Completely alone.
I sat on the cold floor, pulling my knees to my chest.
My body was trembling, but not from the freezing air of the penthouse.
From the betrayal.“He sold you.”
Christian’s words kept repeating in my head like a cruel melody.
My father.
The man I sacrificed my freedom for.
The man I signed my life away to protect.
He didn't love me.
I was just a pawn in his escape plan.
I looked up at the ceiling, at the tiny black lens of the security camera blinking in the corner.
Christian was probably watching me right now.
Enjoying my misery.
Feeding on my pain.
I slowly stood up, my legs weak, and walked toward the massive glass window.
The New York city lights flickered below like a distant, untouchable paradise.
I reached up to my neck, my fingers brushing against the cold diamonds of the collar. The Tyrant's Leash.
It felt heavier now. Tightening around my throat until I could barely breathe.
Suddenly, a soft rustling sound came from the balcony.
I froze.
The penthouse was on the 40th floor. No one could be on the balcony.
Unless…
I slowly crept toward the glass door, my heart hammering against my ribs.
Through the dark curtains, I saw a shadow.
A tall, lean figure leaning against the railing, casually smoking a cigarette.
It wasn't Christian.
The man turned around, the glow of his cigarette illuminating a handsome, mocking face.
Lucian Vance.
Christian’s younger brother.
He caught my gaze through the glass and smirked, raising his hand in a slow, playful wave.
And in his other hand—
Was a key.

EPISODE 4: THE PRICE OF BETRAYAL
CHRISTIAN POV

The silence in the bedroom was deafening.
I stared down at Juliet, my hand still gripping her jaw.
But my mind…
My mind was staring at the message on my phone.
Fifty million dollars. Gone.
Arthur Reid. Escaped.
A dark, venomous anger began to boil in my veins.
I had spent five years tracking that man.
Five years waiting to make him bleed for what he did to my family.
And tonight—
He used his own blood. His own daughter.
As a shield.
“Did you know?” I asked, my voice dropping to a whisper that was deadlier than a gunshot.
Juliet looked up at me, her eyes wide with genuine shock.
Her lips parted, but no sound came out.
“I asked you a question, Juliet,” I growled, my grip tightening until she gasped.
“Did you know your father was going to run?!”
“No!” she choked out, her fingers clawing at my wrist.
“I didn’t… I swear to God, Christian… I thought I was saving him!”
I laughed.
A cold, hollow sound that echoed off the walls.
“Saving him?”
I released her thuggishly, throwing her back onto the bed.
She fell against the pillows, breathing heavily, her hand instantly flying to her bruised jaw.
“He sold you,” I muttered coldly, turning my back to her.
“He left you here with a monster, knowing exactly what I would do to you.”
I walked over to the door, stopping just before I stepped out into the hallway.
I didn't look back.
“Milo,” I spoke into my earpiece.
“Sir?”
“Double the guards at her door,” I ordered tàn nhẫn.
“She doesn't leave this room. Not for fresh air. Not for anything.”
“And if she tries?”
I clenched my fist.
“Break her spirit.”

EPISODE 3: THE GAME BEGINS
JULIET POV
The bedroom door flew open with a loud thud.
I didn't flinch.
I stood my ground as Christian walked in.
The air in the room instantly changed.
Heavy.
Electric.
“You think you’re clever?” he asked, his voice dangerously low.
He closed the distance between us in two long strides.
His hand gripped my jaw, forcing me to look up.
“Never cover my cameras again,” he threatened softly.
I clenched my teeth against the pain.
“If you want to watch me so badly, Christian…”
I smirked despite the fear inside me.
“…look me in the eyes.”
Silence.
His grip tightened for a second.
Then, his eyes dropped to my lips.
A sudden shift in the air.
More intimate.
More dangerous.
“You have a lot of mouth for a girl who belongs to me,” he whispered.
“I belong to no one,” I fired back.
Christian chuckled darkly.
He slowly slid his hand down from my jaw…
To my throat.
His thumb pressing lightly against the diamond collar.
“We’ll see about that,” he murmured.
Suddenly, his phone buzzed in his pocket.
He paused.
He took it out and looked at the screen.
His eyes widened slightly.
A rare look of shock on his face.
“What is it?” I asked, sensing something wrong.
Christian didn't look at me.
He slowly lowered the phone.
His breathing becoming slightly uneven.
“Your father…” he muttered quietly.
My heart dropped instantly.
“What about my father?!”
Christian turned his cold gaze back to me.
And this time—
There was something else in his eyes.
Doubt.
“He just left the country,” Christian said sharply.
“With the fifty million dollars.”
I blinked.
Impossible.
My father didn't have the money.
Unless…
Suddenly, the terrifying truth hit me.
My father didn't get caught.
He set me up.
He used me as a distraction so he could escape.
I was never a savior.
I was just the bait.
And now—
I was trapped with the monster he left behind.

EPISODE 2: THE REBEL
CHRISTIAN POV

I watched her through the security monitors in my study.
Juliet.
My new possession.
She was sitting on the edge of the king-sized bed in her room.
Still wearing that expensive diamond collar.
She wasn't crying.
Interesting.
Most women in her position would be sobbing by now.
But Juliet?
She was staring at the camera.
Directly at me.
Her eyes filled with pure defiance.
I took a slow sip of my whiskey, a faint smile touching my lips.
“She’s going to be trouble, boss,” Milo muttered from behind me.
“I like trouble,” I replied calmly.
“Her father is still trying to contact his old associates,” Milo added carefully.
My expression hardened instantly.
The smile vanished.
“Block every call,” I ordered coldly.
“Let him think he still has a chance.”
“And when he realizes he doesn’t?”
I set the glass down hard on the table.
“Then he will realize his daughter belongs to me now.”
Silence.
I stood up and walked toward the window, looking out at the city lights.
Years of planning.
Years of waiting for the perfect moment to destroy the man who ruined my family.
And now…
I had his most precious asset locked in my house.
But as I looked back at the monitor—
Juliet was no longer sitting on the bed.
She was standing right in front of the camera.
And then—
She slowly raised her hand.
And blocked the lens with her palm.
Darkness.
My jaw tightened instantly.
“She thinks she can hide from me,” I murmured dangerously.
I turned and walked out of the room.
Because it was time—
To remind her who owns the cage.

EPISODE 1: THE TRANSACTION
JULIET POV

The penthouse was freezing.
Or maybe…
It was just him.
Christian Vance.
The man who controlled half the city with a single word.
And right now—
He controlled my entire future.
“Sign it,” his voice cut through the silence.
Cold.
Smooth.
Like velvet wrapped around steel.
I looked down at the mahogany desk.
The contract was already waiting.
Twenty pages.
Two hundred clauses.
Every single one of them designed to trap me.
“I need a guarantee,” I whispered, my voice trembling slightly.
Christian laughed.
A low, dark sound that vibrated in my chest.
“You are in no position to ask for guarantees, Juliet,” he murmured.
He leaned forward, resting his hands on the desk.
The shadow of his figure completely covered me.
Dominant.
Ruthless.
“Your father stole fifty million dollars from my company,” he reminded me coldly.
I swallowed the lump in my throat.
“I know.”
“And this contract…”
He tapped his long fingers against the paper.
“…is the only thing keeping him out of a federal prison.”
Silence.
Heavy.
Suffocating.
My hands shook as I picked up the pen.
I hated him.
God, I hated him so much.
But as I pressed the ink against the paper…
I knew I had already lost.
The signature was done.
I dropped the pen.
Christian picked up the document, scanning it with a dark smirk.
“Good,” he whispered.
Then he looked at his watch.
“Your new life starts now.”
I frowned.
“Now?”
Christian didn't answer.
Instead, he looked toward the door and raised his voice.
“Milo.”
The heavy double doors opened instantly.
His chief of security walked in, holding a sleek black velvet box.
My heart stopped.
Fear.
Pure fear.
Christian took the box and opened it slowly.
Inside—
Was a diamond necklace.
But it didn't look like jewelry.
It looked like a collar.
“Come here,” Christian ordered quietly.
I didn't move.
I couldn't.
His eyes narrowed instantly.
“Rule number one, Juliet,” he whispered dangerously.
He walked around the desk, stopping right behind me.
His cold fingers brushed against my neck, making me shiver.
“When I tell you to do something…”
He locked the heavy necklace around my throat.
Click.
“…you obey immediately.”
