Happy St Andrew’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Today we learned from that St Andrew is not just Scotland’s Patron Saint but also the Patron Saint of Textile Workers 🧵 🪡

Living in Scotland has a direct influence on the prints that CLAED creates, from social to political matters.

The past year our vivid prints were stimulated by covid, lock down and the hope of a brighter future 🌞

We’re looking forward to the new year where we’ll be releasing more prints that we’ve designed with Scotland in mind🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Emergence prints were designed whilst infected with covid. During this time bacterial swabs were taken and grown in Petri dishes. These were then photographed and digitally manipulated to create the bold prints. The prints mirror living through a time of uncertainty with the hope of a better future
