Some homes are special because of their features. Others are special because of the story behind them.
This one was both.
Months ago, we had the opportunity to bring to market what we quickly called a unicorn in Oak Lawn, the crown jewel of Bowser Perry. A rare corner residence with scale, privacy, and a presence that is incredibly hard to find in this pocket.
From the beginning, we knew how unique it was.Â
The largest home in the community, thoughtfully expanded, with 4 bedrooms, 5.1 bathrooms, and a private pool added post construction, something almost unheard of at this level. It had volume, it had character, but more than anything… it had energy. The kind you feel the moment you walk in.
Like many meaningful homes, there was also emotion tied to it. Our sellers loved it deeply, and understandably so. That meant the journey took time. In a shifting market, pricing becomes everything, and aligning expectations is not always immediate. We spent months navigating that balance with care, honesty, and patience, something that is such a delicate and important part of what we do.
Because in today’s market, pricing correctly is not just strategy… it’s everything.
Once we found that alignment and repositioned the home, the response changed immediately. And just as we always hope, the right buyer walked in, someone who saw not only what the home is, but everything it could be.
That is always the goal. Not just to sell a home, but to connect it with the right person.
This one reminded us that great outcomes don’t always happen overnight...but with the right strategy, trust, and timing, they happen exactly as they are meant to.
