In a world of mass production, it’s easy to forget what it truly means for something to be made slowly and intentionally.

Every Satori piece passes through my hands at every stage — from personally sourcing fabrics, to designing, to working closely alongside the women who help bring each garment to life here in South Africa.

Nothing is outsourced overseas.
Nothing is factory churned.
Nothing is rushed.

When you support Satori, you’re supporting local women, local craftsmanship, slow creation, and a far more conscious way of producing clothing.
You’re not simply buying another garment.
You’re buying hours of sourcing, sewing, creating, refining, problem-solving, storytelling, and intention woven into every piece.
Fast fashion has conditioned us to expect clothing to be cheap, immediate, and disposable.
But slow fashion asks us to return to valuing the human hands behind what we wear.

And that is something I will always stand for 🤍

A little introduction for those who are new here ✨

I’m Ashleigh — founder and creator behind Satori.
What began many years ago as a deeply personal creative journey has slowly evolved into something far bigger than myself. Over the years, Satori has grown not only as a brand, but as a space where women come together to create, connect, and build alongside one another. I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredibly special women who have each become part of the heart of this journey.

A special thank you to Zama, Rosemary, Sne, and Jen for growing with me, creating with me, and being part of this small business and dream. Watching Satori expand beyond just myself has been one of the most meaningful parts of the process.

Everything we create is made with intention, by real hands, with real stories woven into it.
Thank you for being here and supporting this journey as it continues to unfold 🤍

I personally hand-select each sari from women around KwaZulu-Natal — listening to their stories, feeling the memories woven into the fabric, and choosing only what carries the right energy.
From there, each dress is cut and created in my little Satori studio in Ballito — crafted slowly, ethically, and with intention.

No mass production. No repeats.

Just one dress, for one woman, for one moment in her becoming.
