Gracious Nubian is a social enterprise based in Bloemfontein. We design, develop and manufacture an innovative washable sanitary pad that can be reused for up to 2 years. We are 100% black-owned, with hands-on owner Euodia Naanyane–Bouwer and two deaf-mute seamstresses fully committed to giving rural girls their dignity back. Vision:

Reusable sanitary pads made from absorbent and waterproof micro-fibre towelling with a lifespan of up to 2 years if cared for properly. Can be washed in cold water with household detergent and sun or air dried. Sales units will consist of 3 pads, zip-lock bags and a carry bag. Different sizes for day and night use will be provided. Pricing structure & volume discount

I’m Euodia Naanyane-Bouwer, founder and CEO of Gracious Nubian.

Gracious Nubian is a medical hygiene textile company.
We design, develop and manufacture reusable medical hygiene textiles — from reusable sanitary pads (where it all began), to reusable medical uniforms, bed linen and other sustainable medical textile solutions.

I’m an innovator by nature.
I took what came naturally to me — problem-solving, creating, seeing gaps — and turned it into something that generates income and impact.
That decision has opened doors I never imagined: exploring medical innovations, engaging with global solutions, travelling, learning, and bringing that knowledge back home.

I’m also a wife.
And a mom to three beautiful children — my biggest why, my daily grounding, my loudest cheerleaders.

This journey hasn’t been glossy.
It’s been real. Hard. Sacred. Rewarding.
Built stitch by stitch, lesson by lesson, faith by faith.
