This week’s Feature Friday is our local hero who is always rescuing dogs and all the while looks amazing. Louise of Covers For Africa has been with us since 2020 and this is her journey with SFM:

“At Covers For Africa we sell & custom make protective covers & bags - from braai covers, to camping bags & even car pet seat protectors!

Just about every one of my Saturdays for the last 5 years & 5 months have been spent at the Shongweni Farmers Market with one of my fur-babies, running our stall.

Looking back, I have come to care for the regular visitor faces that became friends & my fellow stall holders who became family & some even attending our wedding. 🥰 There are little ones running around now, who come for a hug every Saturday, who I saw scans of when they were still in mom’s tummy! These are the bonds & joys that get us up when the alarm goes off in the early hours of a cold Saturday morning!

Most people know our stall for always having one of our dogs Zeus… Or Willow… or Freyja… Or Paris. Or Lilith. Or Floki. Or Boytjie!!!! And stop by with some biltong, pancakes or treat of some kind – not for me.... but for whichever fur-baby we’ve bought to the market that day! And we love you all for it ❤️ Thank you for all your support & doggie tummy scratch’s over the years!”
