There is something rather special about watching a design come together, stitch by stitch. 🤍

At the beginning, you might see a little face being embroidered and have absolutely no idea what the finished picture will be.
Then the hair appears.
A little more detail is added.
And slowly, the picture begins to tell you what it is.

This little set was made for a baby shower this weekend, with designs inspired by some of the things little boys often grow into loving — sport, adventure and the things that become part of their own little personalities.

But while we were making them, I couldn't help thinking about how much this is like life itself.
A baby begins as the tiniest little beginning, growing quietly inside Mama.
Then comes the moment they arrive, and suddenly there is a whole new little person to get to know.
And from there, it happens little by little.
A first smile.
A first favourite toy.
A favourite game.
A new little obsession.
The things that make them laugh.
The things they learn.
The people they love.
And before you know it, that tiny little life is becoming its own beautiful story — while quietly becoming part of everyone else's stories too.

There is just something about coordinated family outfits. 🤍

Not four people dressed exactly the same.
Not matching from head to toe.
