You might have seen the snow videos, you might have heard the rumours or you may have heard it straight from me: we have emigrated!

Dearest clients, fans, friends and family, I want to take a quick moment in all this chaos to thank you for 8 lovely years in this fast changing industry.

Some of you have been here from day one, while many of you may only have joined in the last year or so.

On the 25th of October, my family and I moved to Calgary. It was an incredibly difficult decision to uproot and move the two kiddies away from everything that is familiar, away from loving people who adore them for who they are, but it remains a decision we will stick by and are determined to make a success from.

We have started to settle in. The concept of "winter clothes" has gained new meaning where the first snow means day temperatures of -10° (and this is still warm!) Currently this is not our most fashionable era, but we will prevail 🤣 In my life, I never thought I would willingly buy a pair of Uggs, but here I am.

As I get to study the new environment, learn about new brands and navigate fresh trends, I am also working behind the scenes to launch my new business venture which I am excited to share with you soon.

Hello there! Yes, I have not posted in a while. We had Covid, then the baby just kind of stayed sick in that "is he sick or is he just teething?" state 🙈 And then life and sooo many fittings got in the way.

But here I am. This dress was one of my favourites from my 2018 range - sooo flattering on so many different body types. In the end, the sweetest pregnant fairy bride bought it for her wedding and she looked breath taking.

Not going to lie, the last two weeks were rough! We somehow managed to dodge Covid for 3 years and then I got it. From a client. And I infected my entire family, 5-month-old baby and 3-year-old toddler included. It was absolutely horrible.

The funny thing about working for yourself (not many people realise this, unless self employed) is that no one is going to give you sick leave. And no one is going to do your work. Add two kiddies into the mix, and you have a circus.

Luckily I was able to mask up and still do fittings without infecting anyone else! Brides were dressed, moms looked amazing and all the dresses were delivered in time.

I loved Sorrel's sporty, almost every-day-like-dress, it so completely reflected her personality and she is 100% able to wear her dress again after the wedding (without it looking like an actual wedding dress).

I know this is not a look for everyone, but this was definitely something that worked for Sorrel.

Tomorrow is officially the start of my matric farewell season and I am already fully booked! I honestly can't complain, this year has started off with the earliest bookings I have ever had, with my first matric client signing her contract already during the second week of January. To say I am excited, is an understatement. My mission for my 2023 girls is to give each of them a little BTS video of their dress and the crazy hours that went into the making of.

For now, feast your eyes on this gorgeous dress that Danine wore to her Bloemhof dance. It even 👏 has 👏 pockets 👏!
