I am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. They are an international Society with a South African Chapter. They have just launched BookStop, which is intended to feature newly published Children's Books in various categories. The exposure is international - which is exciting. In an attempt to keep the impetus going following our amazing launch last week. I have created a BookStop page. Just go to SCBWI BookStop, look under picture books (or just type in my name), and you should find it. If anyone has friends with children aged 4 - 8 years old and would like to purchase a book for Christmas, now is the time. Hi everyone, I thought I would let you know where we "landed" after our launch. I am pleased to say that we sold 39 books. Our goal was 30 - 40. 88% of that number were paperbacks, and we sold the most books in the UK, followed by the Netherlands, the US and South Africa. As many know, the goal is to get to the first or at least second page on Amazon, as not many people scroll on and on. We reached the second page in Germany. To everyone who joined in the hype, thank you!! There is still work to be done, but we have started and that is where all great things begin. If anyone missed out, the Kindle version is selling at $1.99. Tell your friends. Take care.

Launch - Day 5 - FINAL DAY TO DOWNLOAD FREE eBOOK!
As far as we can see we have sold 28 books this week so far. Things take a while to appear so it may even be a bit more. Thank you everyone for being our "hands" and for doing what you said you would do.

Launch - Day 4
Wow! This has been such an exciting week. It is so incredibly heartening to read reviews from people we don't even know. Exciting to be part of the wide world of book lovers.
We worked so hard on this book. It literally took years!! Once again, thank you, thank you!!!

Colour Feast - Launch - day 3
To download or not download - that is the question.
Some people are still "on the fence" as far as wanting to download our free eBook. After all, you have to come up with another username and password, as well as negotiate technology - need I say more..... If I can use this illustration. You have a book you really want to read sitting on your bookshelf. Just before you put your hand on it, there is a slight tremor and the bookshelf falls over - all the books are on the floor!! You want to find that one, but there are so many. Luckily for you a group of friends turn up and help you to pick up and move all the books aside, each hand doing its work. At last, the book you have been looking for is on the top. We need your hands to move the thousands of books in Amazon aside so that Colour Feast has a chance to be seen. People don't scroll much past page one or page two in a search. Getting to page one or two is a mammoth job, but it can be done - in fact it has been done, using "friends hands" (downloads).
Some of you had problems yesterday. You could download the book but couldn't leave a review. If you have just opened an account with Amazon and never spent any money with them, they will not allow you to leave a review. Don't worry, the download is also important.
The launch seems to be going well, but I have no way of knowing. It takes 3 to 5 days for downloads, purchases and reviews to reflect - so I am in the dark!
If you have managed to download and review, please can you send a message on messenger -
1. Download and review done successfully OR
2. Download done, but no review OR
3. Had problems couldn't do either.
