Specific Responsibilities:
The Handbag Designer executes from concept to delivery, by creating and executing original, trend-appropriate design concepts and ensuring the timely ex*****on of each stage in the process designing for the La Pelle brand.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Research and identify trend directions;
2) Pull and review design concepts, mock-ups, color-ups, inspirational photos
3) Execute development of initial design for the La Pelle exclusive initial release
Operations & Results:
1) Design according to style plans, sales needs and emerging trends;
2) Create Illustrator sketches; review specification sheets and line sheets;
3) Ensure maintenance of designs in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system or shared drives
4) Select and review raw materials and trims;
Skills and Requirements:
1) Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills;
2) Team oriented
3) Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
4) Highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative
5) Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising;
6) Ability to sketch
7) Highly proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator, CAD and Mac Computers
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Accessories Design
