This week, we are highlighting FEDISA’s Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing & Media.

This three-year qualification is designed for students who are passionate about fashion communication, branding, digital media, marketing, and content creation. Through a combination of creative, strategic, and industry-focused learning, students develop the skills needed to shape how fashion brands connect with audiences.

In this video, our students share their experience in the programme and what it means to study in an environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, innovation, and real-world industry engagement.

The first critique is where every collection begins.

Third-year Fashion Design students are presenting and refining the concepts behind their graduate collections, exploring textiles, silhouettes, colour palettes, and narrative direction.

Over the coming months, these ideas will develop into fully realised collections of 4–7 looks, each reflecting a distinct creative identity.

Real industry exposure. Real insight into the fashion business.

Our students recently visited the Head Office, where they had the opportunity to engage with teams across various departments and gain deeper insight into the structures, operations, and collaborative processes behind one of South Africa’s leading retail brands.

The experience offered valuable industry exposure and allowed students to better understand the professional environments, career pathways, and interdisciplinary teams that shape the fashion and retail space today.
