I am Alta Brink, qualified designer, i worked designing theater clothes for many years. Now retired, I produce Traditional fashionable African clothes made from traditional Shwe-Shwe material, for up market society and tourists. I exclusively do women's clothing and specialize in traditional wrap-over African skirts. Using traditional styles i also add a modern flare.

I am 75 years old. I have advertised, walked the streets, Stellenbosch, Franshoek etc. trying to sell my clothes. Found just one shop here in Gordons Bay willing, but sadly they are gathering dust. I cannot afford major advertising because I do not sell anything. I have no funds, am just a pensioner.

I started two new lines. Was asked by a dealer in Franschoek to make Baby Tutus. So promptly went to work as it reminded me of my hey days making real ones as costumer and designer for the Arts Companies. Including for the lead dancer of the French Ballet George Golovine and his co dancers. Though this is on tiny scale, I enjoy it thoroughly. Since got one big order.
The other is Baby Shwe-Shwe pinafores. Still have no orders but include a photo.
