💛🌸🌿 I would be very very grateful to any student who could do a film documentary on factory seamstresses. I make clothing and the sewing is extremely labourious and time consuming. If you want to make time drag painfully then sew clothing together, the focus it takes to render countless garments in perfect detail takes back breaking TIME. Nobody - and I repeat - nobody....knows the hard labour that goes into making clothes until they try it themselves. Yet the millions of impoverished women of India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Africa and China know......they work 10,12...14 hour shifts, DAILY, breast feeding their infants during their short breaks in huge warehouses to make the sweaters, jeans, dresses, T-shirts and endless clothing items that we buy for NOTHING from cheap chainstores. It is nothing short of slave labour. Putting a price on someone's lifespan --- on the days of endless labour that are spent to make beautiful clothing that we use and discard soon after. We do not see each piece as beautiful artwork......its just another bunch of rags people would rather buy for nothing at MisterPrice. And you will find half of it ends up in the landfills as soon as its out of fashion.😢
