DJ Mobla is a pioneering force in Bacardi music, the Pretoria-born sound that blends the rhythmic energy of kwaito and house with melodic synths and hard-hitting percussion. As an early innovator alongside legends like Ennyman da Guitar and DJ Dadaman, Mobla helped shape the sound that defined a generation of Pretoria township nightlife and culture.

His crossover collaboration with DJ Maphorisa on the reimagined version of his hit single “Revisit” helped bridge Bacardi and amapiano, leading to standout hits like Pepepepe and Xmas in July. As a true custodian of the Bacardi sound, DJ Mobla continues to preserve its legacy while pushing it into new spaces and global audiences through collaborations with a new generation of artists, including DJ Doowap. Their collaboration, Areyeng, is already making waves and carrying the Bacardi sound into a new era.
