CORPORATE IDENTITY | Mimi Moya

Full corporate identity and logo development for this beautiful family owned game reserve nestled in the mountainous bushveld in Mmpumalanga. I designed two logos (one for the farm & accommodation the other for their NPO) both falling under the same umbrella corporate identity.

The farm is home to family & school bush break aways, kiddy art lessons, mountain biking & annually hosts school groups from Europe. We decided to incorporate an extension of stylised animal silhouettes which can be used on flyers, T-shirts and quotes when working on the school programs.

Such a lovely project, and a nature reserve worth visiting!

📍LOGO CREATION | Buzz

This was a logo refresh for a dynamic projects and development duo. I had fun combining, overlapping and then linking the double ‘z’ from buzz to form a unique logomark.

This strong and striking logo represents the core of this company: creative, reliable, dynamic, excellent and professional in their approach on every varied project.

CORPORATE IDENTITY | Hoedspruit Hub

The hands that make up the village, that till the land, that teach, equip and build a sustainable future.

The logomark represents the ‘hand-work’ the organisation does in the farming community of Hoedspruit. The playful colour palette together with the logo, speak to the environment and the community the Hub works, trains and reaches out too.

If you’re curious about the incredible work they do; commercial training, organic and subsistence farming, development and so much more - follow their page, Hoedspruit Hub

Unyoke Foundation | Logo Creation (2018)

The work Unyoke Foundation is constantly facilitating and ‘holding the space for’ is crucial and profound. So too was the challenge of creating a logo that would hold the space in confidence and reflect the collective space of refuge the foundation was and is hoping to create.

When sitting with the founders the symbol of the African calabash was a prominent image they wanted incorporated. We settled on an imperfect, hand-drawn version to display a sort of frailty, yet held perfectly with a strong San-serif font. The tension of hand-drawn with a solid type, displays the perfect nuance for the Foundation's work which focusses on creating a supportive network and retreats for peace activists and leaders in conflict areas in Africa.

I loved learning about this amazing initiative and enjoyed the process of creating a logo for them thoroughly too.

LOGO REBRAND | Pure Good

After having designed a playful wallpaper and packaging design for , Shannon approached me with the task of rebranding their already established brand. It was important to keep the identity and positive association with the old logo, but we wanted to clean-up, refresh and give a more corporate extension of the logo, setting Pure Good up for a new era of growth.

Here’s a snippet of the end result, with the second slide showing the subtle but clear transition - from old to new! ♻️

Logo Creation

I love the opportunity of immersing myself into the world of another artist. Stefni was a labyrinth of inspiration. She is an incredible artist, jewellery designer and thoughtful soul. The challenge here was that the logo we were creating was not just representing her jewellery, but essentially the brand would be a representation of the person.

After the impossible task of sifting through and elminating several options we settled on a hand mark which Stefni already used as a type of ‘signature’ - a crown.

The final logo uses a crown drawn by Stefni, coupled with a simple but strong san serif type.

We also tried various descriptors and found ‘wearable art’ to be the term that encompassed the broad scope of jewellery, art and the work Stefni would be producing the best.

Follow Stefni or visit her beautiful studio in Scarborough at The Hub.

This commissioned illustration is off to the printers! 〰️ After four quiet months whilst we settled into our new city, new jobs (I’ve started working part time at a design studio) and ultimately new routines as a family - I finally felt a settled pattern in my day to day, which means there’s been time to delve into freelancing, particularly illustrating again. Really enjoyed drawing this for the Turner family - a portrait of two doting grandparents. Hope this little A4 black and white print brings great joy.
