The national film and TV industry, under the banner Save SA Film Jobs, is set to march to the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) in Cape Town and Pretoria on 28 and 29 January 2026, as the local industry crisis deepens.

The Save SA Film Jobs coalition is demanding “urgent reform of the DTIC’s film incentive and an end to the paralysis that has pushed the sector to the brink of collapse”.

The 2026 marches are being organised by a national coalition of industry bodies, including:
Animation S.A.
South African Guild of Actors
Independent Producers Organisation
The PMA - Personal Managers' Association
Writers Guild of South Africa. A place for Writers by Writers
Sasfed

Costume Hire’s staff have decided to forego their joint birthday celebration and instead use that money to buy baby clothes and products for Hanna’s Place of Safety in Mitchell’s Plain. If anyone would like to add to this, please feel free to drop off items by 2 July 2025. Thank you!

We very sadly said goodbye to Miu Miu today.
From a street cat to becoming our resident pampered kitty, Miu Miu had a remarkable life, filled with so much love and fishy treats. RIP
