JASIRI. 🤍🐚

Worn by the radiant Liona — former Miss Tourism Lamu — at the Rebirth Collection fashion show last Friday.

Jasiri means brave one in Swahili. And this piece carries that story deeply.

This is the rebirth of the very first knitted dress I ever created. Back then, she lived in blue and white striped acrylic yarn — an experiment, a risk, a young designer choosing to learn in public and trust her instincts. That season required courage.

Today, Jasiri returns in pure organic cotton. Softer. Stronger. Refined.
Hand-finished with shells and cowrie shells lining the hem — a quiet nod to island heritage and feminine power. The silhouette remains figure-hugging, symmetrical, unapologetically sensual.

Luxury island girl living.
Growth.
Becoming.

And embodied every inch of it — poised, powerful, goddess energy. 🌊✨

Available now.

Introducing the MIZIZI Linen Pants. ‘Mizizi’ means roots in Swahili. 🌱

This design is a rebirth of a piece from our Lion King collection back in 2019 — once bold in cheetah print, now reimagined in natural linen. Softer. Grounded. Intentional.

The high waist, wide leg, and structured suspenders are inspired by vintage British colonial tailoring — a silhouette once symbolic of power and authority.

With Mizizi, we reclaim that structure.
We soften it in linen.
We root it in African story 🌍

Rooted in natural fibres 🍀
Rooted in memory. 🤍
Rooted in becoming ✨

These are going for USD 65 or ksh 8500. DM to order

Available for Ksh 4,500 or USD 35

I can't quite remember the details of when we first met but the main character of this story insists it happened at Jo'burg Bar on Long Street in Cape Town. It was fall of 2015 and I had recently turned 20 and 'lost' my virginity. I was partying a lot with Makena during that time to escape from all the problems around me; my difficult Computer Science studies and my unhealed sexual trauma....
