Position available: Purchasing Coordinator
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage and coordinate supplier purchase orders for counter sales and online sales, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of stock, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Must be neat and presentable. Must be bilingual pref. (Eng & Afr)
*KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES*
- Place supplier purchase orders for counter sales and online sales
- Ensure accurate and timely ordering of stock
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate prices
- Verify stock levels and ensure adequate inventory
- Process purchase orders and ensure receipt of goods
- Investigate and resolve any issues with suppliers or orders
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and supplier information
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS*
- Matric or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Experience with Sage Accounting System or similar software an advantage
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED*
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work under pressure
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MENTAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS)*
- Willing to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Working hours Monday to Friday 7:30 - 18:00 en Saturdays 8:00 tot 14:00
