❤️🌸 NEWS ALERT! Liberty Fields began from a simple passion, a deep love for traditional hand crafted smocking, for beautiful fabrics, and for creating pieces that feel timeless but fun. I never could have imagined how far this little dream would grow in such a short time, or how many of you would welcome our dresses into your homes, special moments, and memories. For that, I am endlessly grateful.
Over the years, I’ve stitched, cut, pleated, and created late at night after long work days, balancing custom orders with producing stock for markets and the website, all while working full-time. And now, with our family growing in size and a little one on the way beginning of next year, it feels like the right moment to realign and refocus.
To honour my family, my full-time career, and the craft I adore, we will be shifting Liberty Fields into a slower, more intentional season.
This means we will be moving away from creating large stock for the website and stepping back from markets, instead focusing fully on custom, made-to-order pieces. This allows me, and our small team, to continue creating with care, keep everyone steadily busy, and maintain the quality and love that Liberty Fields is known for, without stretching ourselves too thin.
Custom smocked dresses take time, detail, and intention. Because of this, our turnaround for custom orders will be 4-6 weeks, and for wedding parties we kindly ask for 4–6 months’ notice so we can walk with you through the full design process, source the perfect fabrics, and create something truly special (it takes time and we don’t stoop on any details for the special day!).
This shift doesn’t come lightly, with change always comes a little risk, a few nerves, and a whole lot of trust. But it also comes with clarity. A chance to slow down, breathe, and give the best of ourselves to the things that matter most.
Thank you for allowing Liberty Fields to grow with me, and for understanding this new season of focus, balance, and creativity. I’m excited to continue crafting beautiful custom pieces for your little ones, with all the love that started this journey in the first place. ❤️
